L4N, aren’t you closer to Huntsville? I am only 40 minutes from there.
I am right smack dab in the middle, between Huntsville and North Bay. 40 minutes to north Bay and 40 minutes to North Bay.
check, that would put you somewhere around Orillia?

Good morning at

22°f now, today sunny, with a high near 47. South wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph

Played pickup sticks a few times this past week with the wind we’ve been having lately. Plow is mounted, snow blower is greased and ready if needed, sand barrels are full and oil tank is full. About as ready for winter as I ever am!

enjoy your day everyone

somewhere up in Heaven Roy is too, wishing he had a few more hp for the JD blower, but thoroughly happy

waiting for zoom call from school, Advancement putting arm on me for referrals for Capital Campaign.
Never enjoyed fund raising, err opportunities for giving.

It looks great. Looks ready to ride. Did you rebuild the engine? Brings back memories of the bikes that I had in my youth. My first BSA was a 1939 350 cc that I got when 15. That was before the telescope fork and no rear suspension. But I learned a lot about these bikes.
Everything had to be rebuilt. I ended up doing a mildly built engine after I was given a cylinder head that had been rebuilt for performance. The intake/exhaust ports were cleaned up and slightly enlarged along with Gold Star valves. I put a 7.8-1 piston (stock was 6.5-1), and Gold Star touring cams (Almost 30 degree increase in duration over stock). I expect it will be a decent running engine.

@Popgadget - I also like most Brit bikes, but decided to stick with one brand. If I was ever to seriously stray, a Velocette of some sort would be high on the list. I have been lucky enough to have gotten to ride several Velocettes, they are quite impressive bikes to ride.

Not sure what today will bring, I will find something

Everyone stay safe out there

Good Morning
It’s 21 with a forecast high of 45 under clear skies.

Yesterday was a clear day as well. I saw a stealth bomber orbiting the area, I’m guessing it was going to do a pass over Lincoln Financial Field for the Eagles game, and was holding until it’s allotted time. Regardless, it was pretty cool to see.

Trip to Sebring was very nice, I flew with my partner as copilot, we have been friends for 40 years, so it was a good time. The passengers were racing in a 12 hour race, and were quite happy, as evidenced by the trophies that we put in the baggage compartment. Was a nice clear night, could see the lights of Baltimore over a hundred miles out.

Here’s the sunset from 45,000 feet-

Not sure what today will bring, but I’m sure that it will keep me busy.

Nice Motorcycle Rich. I have a soft spot for old English bikes, Matchless, AJS, Velocette, Vincent, Royal Enfield and of course Norton, Triumph and BSA. They all command impressive prices for a clean example now. I have always lusted for a Velocette Thruxton, but I suspect it will go unrequited.
Great Del McCoury song about a 52 Vincent Black Lightning...
...in my opinion, there's nothing in this world
Beats a 52 Vincent and a red headed girl
Now Nortons and Indians and Greeveses won't do
They don't have a soul like a Vincent 52...

Good morning, low was 24 going to 46, 28 at the moment

Trash needs to go up to the road today, recycle tomorrow

Rich that should be a strong performer. Sounds like it will have serious low end power too. Did you get the magneto tested?

Was driving up through the Frederick water shed area the other day and there was a large tractor blowing off leaves from the road. Those PTO blowers put out some serious air and sticks small rocks leaves all disappeared up the embankments along the road

All this talk of vacuums... I have a Kirby G4, 30 years old.

Purchased via door-to-door salesman. LOL. Neighbor said "you HAVE to check this thing out".

They came, they cleaned a carpet. Can you say color change? LOL. And... I drove it around the room sucking up stuff left behind by other vacuums. There was no comparison. That thing, to this day just sucks and sucks. It's a phenomenal piece of work. I'd say I got my monies worth out of it, but dang that thing was pricey at the time. No maintenance on that equipment. Just a roller tension belt thingy every few years.

On another lighter side moment, I found my Kubota decal in the driveway a day or so ago. So it was not washed off after all. Whatever adhesive Kubota uses on their decals, needs work.
