Buppies; I am glad that I live in Texas, and should miss that blizzard!

M larro; Yes, I'd love a new, and bigger kitchen too!

Let's hope he doesn't see this. Of course you realize my new kitchen will also mean everything new: pots, pans, dishes etc. Sure wish I could have a bigger kitchen!!

And Margie, 100% of us think you deserve it!...:D
so perhaps some subliminal suggestions to your hubby.
We can help. Larro, heard of the new John Deere with the built in convection oven???

Oh Larro, are you paying attention?
:shocked:

I'm hoping attention is all I will be paying. I'm trying to hold out for an outside kitchen. It might be cheaper starting fresh than knocking down walls.

Good Morning. 0650, clear, 45* with 63% humidity. Forecast high of 68* with no chance of rain. I saw two more bucks on my game camera, a 9 and a 4 point. If I can bundle up enough, I will go spend an hour in the shooting house. Not sure what I will do the rest of the day.

hmmm, hot climate, keep the heat out of the house, like in the "old days" before a/c.
any other benefits? Will your fridge come with an alligator lock on it? :D

Space is the big thing. We have an open floorplan, with living room, dining room and kitchen all together. We have already closed in part of the back porch for kitchen storage, and put in a big cabinet/bookshelf unit in the living room for pots and pans, and cookbook storage. But there no room to expand unless we take in more of the back porch.

Most outdoor kitchens around here are called cooksheds, with some of them being very nicely laid out. One room is setup like a regular kitchen with a large workspace for canning and jelly making. And there is also a screened in room with smoker, grill, fish cookers and the like. This is where I would put my wood stove if I can get it patched up.

Our longleaf pine trees are on a federal conservation program, and they are right outside the back door. We can't do anything until next November when they are off the program. What I worry about more than the cost of building it, is paying higher taxes every year forever. {have I mentioned I hate spending money?}
