Davis VP2 Also you could add the 6100 WeatherLink Live to the system if desired.
Are there any recommendations for weather stations with wifi capabilities that can be had off amazon?

What do you mean by WI-FI? Both the Davis VP2 and tempest connect wirelessly between the sensors and the interface or console. The Davis has a display on the interface/console, the Tempest is all done through an app on your smartphone or computer. If you want to access the data remotely, the Tempest is effortless, the Davis requires connection to a computer and some work and expertise to make it load to WU or your own web page.
I actually have both systems located on the same pole, and find them in agreement in all parameters but rainfall. The Tempest is not as accurate, but it is improving. The Tempest has lightning detection, and will give a distance, but not azimuth to the strike.

For simplicity and ease of setup, the Tempest wins hands down. It’s also considerably less expensive.

My Davis VP2 is over 10 years old, a new one might have more web connectivity built in than mine, but I had to buy an interface and data logger to connect it to a computer that builds a web page with my data and uploads it to my server. It also shares data with Weather Underground and the NWS.

Randy(wag) hope church went well.
Church went very well, thank you. We're a small Anglican (Episcopalian) congregation in an equally small Church, but 'punch above our weight' regarding local charity work.

I do hope, and it sounds like this is so, that the tornadoes avoided you and yours.

It turned out to be a glorious day... a light breeze, the paddocks are dry and the High topped 29C.

Remembrance Day is this coming Friday and I've volunteered to, again, be the Parade Commander. It must be my dulcet voice. :)

67F, cloudy, and still @ 02:00, thought I heard a wee bit of rain a little bit ago but it passed through fairly quickly.

Heading to around 60F for the overnight low. Slight chance of a shower but I think it's mostly past at this point.

Yesterday was absolutely beautiful - high of 76.5F and very breezy.

More clean up and pallet juggling over in the barn.

Got one OSB panel trimmed and put up.

Man door on front wall vacuumed inside.

Also 2 x 8 x 14 nailed in place across the opening for the center overhead door. Still need to stake it.

Both pieces of foam board insulation installed at the bottom of Bay No. 4.

Two pallets up in shop unloaded and a third pallet that was sitting outside moved into the shop. Scrap cardboard collected and moved inside.

Garage door opener moved inside shop and the pallet it was on (with the other garage door opener) taken back down to the barn.

Several more pallets that were sitting outside that I didn't want to get wet moved back inside barn.

Saw this guy this afternoon at one point as I heading over to the barn:

Handsome fellow, I made him to be an 8 pointer near as I could tell:

Didn't realize he had company and was entertaining until I got a chance to look at the pictures tonight:

Hope I wasn't interrupting anything ... ;)

Saw these two later on up by the compost pile:

Hope everyone had a great Saturday ... (y)

65 going to 78, maybe a small shower.

Phil, glad your wife is doing better. What is that you made?

Buppies, hope you were able to pick up that gun...Mossberg?

Went muzzleloader hunting yesterday morning before dawn...wasn't planning on shooting anything, but a good excuse to sit up in a tree and watch the world wake up. Nice warm morning, but got up to 80 and made me slow and lazy in the afternoon.

I guess baseball is over for the next 5 months. :( Congrats to the Astros. (y)

I also guess I'll get to the time change by the time they change it all back in the spring. o_O

good morning all

got most of clocks reset.

after church, going to be a leaf afternoon unless rain showers come, looks possible this afternoon and tonight
I see 20's in the ten day forecast, looks like I'll be picking the rest of the tomatoes and peppers in next few days.
I picked a nice green pepper yesterday, a real bonus for November.

RS, are you still counting your squash?
Between your flowers and your veggies that deer herd you have
must think you are one cool human. They will give you Lymes Disease in thanks...

Frits, hope daughter is doing better.

That will be a Christmas present ink pen for a friend of the family. Had a piece of walnut left over from a project years ago. I'll post a pic when it's done.

65 here all night! Never seen this here in November in my 64 years!
Heading to 72 with a couple nice days in the forecast.

Up early due to the time change. Still not feeling great but am adjusting. Blood pressure is back down and heart rate is finally staying under 100 bpm. Not much planned for today. Might try a short walk with my sister and then play with the finish on the pen.
Hope everyone stays safe and healthy!

Coffee finished brewing. 41° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 64° with partly cloudy skies. Got oil changed in generator. Did other cleanup before weather guessers got it right. Lot of wind. A few sprinkles. Then power went out. Came back on but at 102 volts. Electric company keeps telling me its fixed. But not fixed. Neighbors are showing same voltage. Laundry is put away. Changed bedding on the 2 beds in house. My wife never complained about doing it. But it is a pain for me to do it. Off to my sons place today to celebrate their birthdays. 3 of them fall within 2 weeks.
Have all the clocks reset except the one in car.
Sunrise at my place yesterday.

Buckeye, you may want to put Eternabond Tape over that seam on trailer.

Prayers and best wishes for everyone.

Good Morning All.

Ron, I hate making the bed. Could never figure out right direction, always having to move fitted bottom sheet around at least once.
The cover on my lawn mower has a wonderful tag on the inside front saying in red Front. That's my speed.

As of a month ago cleaning lady changes the sheets. What a treat. Living alone, as you know, you do a lot more stuff all by yourself than you used to.
I could use some female eyes on things around here. I bet she starts organizing my pots and pans next.

I don't know how many guys here make their beds instead of their wives.
Those of you who have served in the military sure know how to make a bed.
I do know I have wiring that just doesn't allow me to leave the house without my bed made.
