Had to buy some #5 rebar (5/8ths) for a rock bucket project. $24 a bar   Had to have a few... would hate to be buying materials in any quantity right now.
My new Skeleton Rock Bucket from Titan is a beauty but she's got 3 inches between the ribs and honestly a 3x 4 or 3x6 rock is just too big to be left behind. My plan is to weld a 5/8 bar in between each rib resulting in a 1 1/4 space. This is the cheapest and easiest way I can think to do this. Will post some pics of the before and after.

60F and mostly cloudy @ 13:00, headed up to a high of around 63F for the day. Chance (40%) of an occasional passing rain shower or thunderstorm at times. LWS reports 0.04" of rain so far today.

Got up this morning around 06:00, watched some of the morning news (weather mainly) then went back to bed for a few hours.

Yesterday was mostly an energy conservation day, although I did some reading and watched a couple of videos on the operation of the JLG towable man lift. Along with getting the razor drug across my face ... :giggle:

Also researched and ordered "ethernet/networking over power" starter kit from Amazon to provide some connectivity up at the shop. That is currently "out for delivery".

Today I need to get over to the barn and take some measurements on the hay wagon and figure out how much more treated lumber is required to complete it and get that ordered from Menards along with some tarps.

Also need to assess how big a mess the dirt over at the barn is. LWS on WU reports we got 0.86 inches of rain yesterday. The dirt was fairly dry so it might not be too bad ... but if we get much more anytime soon it might be nearly impossible to work (compact)

Get Menards order placed and then run up and pick that up along with the vapor barrier and the geo-tex at Tucker. Need to unload steel out of the van before we head out.

Local friend (who has been under the weather) texted me and let me know that he's rounded up a few tools that I had asked to borrow (screw gun, framing nailer, laser level) so we'll swing by his place while we're out and get that stuff as well.

Hopper feeder still needs refilled and mowing finished up over on the west side down here around the house.

Fix and rebait live trap and get it set out again.

Hoping to get a haircut today as well.

Hope everyone is having a good day and all those ailing are on the mend ... (y)

Found out from realtor the guy behind my future lot is retired brick mason. 2 people now says he’s a very nice guy. The neighbor said the same.
Also found out some history of the lot. Bought from an estate. Estate had let former guy live there. Realtor said he wasn’t all there mentally. The former owner was a guardian to who lived there, then owner died, then the guy living there died. Guy had lived in trailer, then a house was built, he moved into house and left everything in trailer also. When guy living in house died, the estate then sold everything. Current owner tied in with realtor somehow. Realtor said house was an aweful mess. Anyways they cleaned out and fixed up house, removed the old trailer house, removed an old falling down barn that was in corner of “my” lot, they subdivided into 2 lots. Definitely getting title insurance.

Realtor says it might be possible to clear trees and get a nice view from top of the hill. He said it’s not too steep and flattens out on top. I’ll have to look into that.

Considering going again this weekend, but looks like rain, so will have to play it by ear. Would like to see water flow on the lot in a heavy rain.
