Not much on the agenda today. Grass, Milk House (maybe). Wife's truck needs a good wash.

BEF, looking at lots is fun. I definitely will be turn key if and when we ever elect to move. Maybe it is a time management thing, too many jobs.

Been trying to catch up for days...
Roy, hope it doesn't get you down too bad.
RS, glad stings have subsided.
I was supposed to be off today, but we have an upgrade going on, of our Tinius Olsen tensile tester, and it has been a major headache. Today is training day so I have to get my carcass up there. Work has been so busy. Time flies by. Much on my plate. I think I see a tiny speck of light at the end of the tunnel.

Wifey has been working on painting our great room. There is a lot of work to do, and she's been learning. Getting close to putting on the paint. Still have to move a very heavy China cabinet.

Chicken sitrep...all is mostly well, but we have 1 "old maid" hen that makes life horrible for the 5 new hens. She fights them every night when they are trying to get into the coop. I'm thinking of dispatching her, or giving her away. Pecking order....hen pecked...Anyway, the young hens should start laying soon.

Some of our dear friends at church are expecting a baby any day now. They have a 14 yo son, and had been trying so hard for another baby since way back, but they had given up. We have all been praying for their miracle baby.

Glad you're enjoying employment TxDon. How do they water the strawberries under that plastic? Do they run a drip line? Is the plastic permeable?

If you don’t know, doing a shift delete is immediate erase, not into the recycle folder. I was in the wrong directory when I did it, but all recovered from backup.

Don, glad you're having fun...the pumpkin place looks pretty cool.

Wednesday had a great hike in Shenandoah...perfect weather and a fun section of trail. Talked with 2 flip floppers...one guy my age named Limbo, trying to finish the entire trail after having to stop for a while with shin splints...he only had to get to Harper's Ferry. He got his trail name by not seeing a big branch over the trail, hitting his head, and falling backwards due the weight of his pack. The young hiker had to quit to go home and help run his dad's bakery, due to ankle surgery...he was having to hike to Connecticut to finish. Interesting people.

When I got home I found out my mom was taken to the ER...still in hospital due to hypertension/congestive heart failure...my wife and I were there all day yesterday. I was impressed with the medical staff, and she was much better when we left last night. My wife is going back to stay with her for a couple of days...they should release her today...got her meds in better balance. 91 YO...lives alone in a 2 story condo, a block from the hospital, and drives very well. She's now thinking of moving to a retirement community.

Agree with that. Daughter came back from Europe last night having been over there working on Ukraine issues for the last week. One of her programs is identifying war crimes committed by Russia using satellite and other means. The program is now showing results that are horrible. Hope it will be helpful to prosecutions at some point.

43F partly cloudy upper 80's for high with clear sky.

Outside chores done E muffin time.
Setting on the deck last night between front field and side counted 7 gray foxes thought there was only 3 all summer long...wouldn't want to mouse etc.

Plans for today...couple little do mor Mrs.,around 9am head for Kubota dealership open house...9-2pm...afternoon check out most powerful hand held leaf blower at lawn shop,and of coarse date night.

Good morning! Our one day of Fall has expired and we have slid back into Summer. 72˚ heading to the 90s. Sunny, slight south wind.

I bought my mom some dates from Costco and she planted the pits. The pits sprouted and are growing to 3 nice date trees. Today I will separate them and put them in their own pot. Next year I'll plant them in the yard if they continue to do good.
