Good morning! Low of 54°, going up to the low 90's today and tomorrow. Breezy today with gusts around 30-35. No rain chances until Wednesday night/ Thursday.... only a 20% chance, so not holding my breath.
Thanks for all the 'nice oasis' comments. Growing up in the lush green NE CONUS, I miss the greenery, grass, big trees, and water. So, I try to make our own little paradise. This is the third 'oasis' that we have made, so worked out most of the "didn't work so well" problems. Lots of trial and error.
BEF, nice looking steaks. Made my mouth water....
Toppop, congrats on the tractor score! not too many to be found here, if you do, they are usually junk. That goes for the bigger tractors too!
Ken, nice clematis. I have 2 containers with honeysuckle growing in them along the fence. About 2'x2'.... they have stayed this size for years already. I was hoping they would use the fence as a trellis, but they haven't spread. They just started blooming this week.
Not sure if they are available elsewhere, but talk about being fragrant.....these flowers are so sweet smelling, it will fill the whole yard. They are called "spanish brooms"
Paul, now THAT is a mailbox! Looks like everyone enjoyed the tractor ride for sure!
Today is rest and recovery day. Need to go do some local errands this morning, specifically to get the grocer needed for the dog food batch. Oh, and some more seed starter trays for the wifey.
I might play on the tractor and shift some materials stockpile around to make it easier to get to. If that happens, I'll bring the materials for the raised strawberry bed up to the shop. I'll probably get that done before jumping into the next landscaping project. Wifey made the decision to finish the driveway / fence bed before the courtyard.
Everyone have a great day!
