LS, that is an oasis.

Yesterday I also got tiller off the Massey, put away for another year, and hooked up the 6 ft RFM. Haven’t used it in a couple years, at least 2 low tires. Decided I’ll mow with it across creek rather than ZT with so many hidden limbs that never got picked up.
Took a load of trimmed dogwood limbs back across creek and put on the pile, ran out 1 deer.

Morning all, looks like another nice day, sunny and up to 80

Got most of the pole saw work done and 3 fields mowed, some stick and rounds moved.
Today it's bush trimming, weed whacking and fill in a hole in the driveway.
Cleaned all the leaves off the trampoline, with the netting it's quite good at catching falling leaves.
Took family and sons friend to dinner as neither of us felt like cooking.

Old clematis is flowering as is the honeysuckle, the smell is overpowering.

Newbury - "gods must be crazy" great movie, and watch out for falling coke bottles.
Drew - florida uses desalination plants for some of their freshwater. They have over 100 of them.
Cali voted them down.

LS - great layout and neat pics.

Kyle - my tomato plants haven't even flowered yet.

Stay safe and be well,

I keep the clematis contained to the gazebo. Seems to not mind being trimmed in the winter

Have hundreds of feet of this "honeysuckle" birds love it.

"I would think the 1050 was a real working tractor..."

The 1050 had a turbocharger Yanmar diesel engine that made 37 hp. Not a very big engine.
Yep...those Yanmar engines were used in a number of smaller (<100 HP would be my guess) Deere tractors...tough and long lasting

Roy when my parents were alive people kept bashing their mailbox so we came up with a fix. Used 1/4 in structural steel tubing built a house around usps box chimney held flag. The steel was the type that rusted down 1/8 in or less and placed in concrete. About two weeks after that police wake them up at 2:30 in the morning two people drag racing the one that hit it lost his oil pan. Mail box ok just set back up in new concrete. I wish I had never let it go

Couldn’t ask for a prettier day, 71, sunny and about a 15-20 mph northeast breeze. High of just 75 today. I’ve been sitting on my deck which is on the east side, ran the awning out to avoid that morning sun, watched the small planes going for their Sunday cruise and drank my coffee.
My Massey is 2.5 years old and has 170 hours, so probably not a justifiable purchase, but I’ve saved enough from other bad habits to pay for it.
In that vein, I acquired a John Deere 455 yesterday, 22 hp Yanmar diesel, two hydraulic spools, 60” deck, looks and runs great and I didn’t pay very much for it. Older man, mid to late 80’s gave up mowing himself and gave his son the front blade. Has 800 hours on it. It’s a 1996. It’s almost as big as my Massey Ferguson, not as tall. I bought it thinking I’d replace my Cub Cadet 1864 spraying tractor, but I think I’ll keep it too. I’ll pick it up one day this week.
Not sure what I’m doing today, I haven’t asked my wife yet.

Good morning! Low of 54°, going up to the low 90's today and tomorrow. Breezy today with gusts around 30-35. No rain chances until Wednesday night/ Thursday.... only a 20% chance, so not holding my breath.

Thanks for all the 'nice oasis' comments. Growing up in the lush green NE CONUS, I miss the greenery, grass, big trees, and water. So, I try to make our own little paradise. This is the third 'oasis' that we have made, so worked out most of the "didn't work so well" problems. Lots of trial and error.

BEF, nice looking steaks. Made my mouth water....

Toppop, congrats on the tractor score! not too many to be found here, if you do, they are usually junk. That goes for the bigger tractors too!

Ken, nice clematis. I have 2 containers with honeysuckle growing in them along the fence. About 2'x2'.... they have stayed this size for years already. I was hoping they would use the fence as a trellis, but they haven't spread. They just started blooming this week.
Not sure if they are available elsewhere, but talk about being fragrant.....these flowers are so sweet smelling, it will fill the whole yard. They are called "spanish brooms"

Paul, now THAT is a mailbox! Looks like everyone enjoyed the tractor ride for sure!

Today is rest and recovery day. Need to go do some local errands this morning, specifically to get the grocer needed for the dog food batch. Oh, and some more seed starter trays for the wifey.

I might play on the tractor and shift some materials stockpile around to make it easier to get to. If that happens, I'll bring the materials for the raised strawberry bed up to the shop. I'll probably get that done before jumping into the next landscaping project. Wifey made the decision to finish the driveway / fence bed before the courtyard.

Everyone have a great day!

66°F and 1.21 inches rain, another wet one.

No big plans, just take the day as it comes I guess.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Mowed about half to 2/3rds of the lawn I hadn't finished yesterday...mower was really low on fuel, so time to stop (don't want to run totally out in the middle of the yard)
Fuel containers in the truck and I'll top them up on the way home tomorrow. Weather looks good for Monday and Tuesday...rest of the week looks to be pretty wet
Only 66 degrees here right now. I'd be fine if it's stays this way all summer
