Up late today, and sleeping in felt really good.. I should do it more often

36° right now...high in the 40's (bet it doesn't make it above the low 40's!) and mixed precipitation

Other than paying a few bills, it'll be a low key day (like every Sunday should be)

Baby chicks. Blue laced red wyandottes...

We stopped for my first time, at a friend's property that they've been working on. I told him why on earth did you get another tractor, this land came with one....

Morning all 44 going to 52 and rain moving out.
Too wet to go and move brush and tree parts, falling behind in my cleanup work, oh well.

Sons competition went fine, they did about the same points as last time. May be the last competition as next is finals and don't think they have enough points.

Place was out towards Valley forge with the cooling towers of a nuclear plant not too far away. Got caught up waiting for the police motorcade for the poor policeman who got run over by the drunk a week or so back by Philly. So many police, fire etc showing support, the wait was no big deal when we saw why.

Looking - happy birthday to your DIL!
PopG - have fun with the kids tonight.

RS - looks like you made a 3D puzzle-hope the new parts go back in easier than the olds ones came out.

Tired from yesterday loading the truck twice with band equipment. Doing all the land clearing started me out a bit tired.

We bought a Japanes White Pine yesterday to plant.
Looking for a black pine as wife always wanted one. Then we think planting a semi-circle of forsythia around the outside of that area to act as a privacy hedge to our present neighbors. I think that will be cleanest. We already have two almond and a burr oak there. The Oak is only 4' tall so far, but looks healthy. Almond trees took a hit over winter and are still about 3' tall, but seem to be coming back.

Have to clean out out the fallen ash from that area and start making holes.

Stay safe and be well,

65°F and 1.95 inches rain.

Made an excursion to HD yesterday. Gutters for the caretaker unit and top rail pipe for the chain link fence up by the cottage. Big mistake not doing that when I installed the fence. Pipes were over $19 each. Figured I’d have on hand ready for after my cataract recovery.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Good morning to all! Low was only 39°, but warmed up quickly. Already at 64° on the way to 72°.

Started up the drip irrigation system today, should get at least half of the beds watered, if not more. The rest will get their drink tomorrow.

I think we lost one tree planted last spring.... a crepe myrtle. About 4' tall, did well all throughout the summer..... surprised it didn't make it through the winter. We'll let it go for another few weeks to see if it is just a late bloomer.

Lots of the perennial flowers are starting to emerge. Some coreopsis that the wifey started from seed may have not made it. Still kinda really cool in the mornings, so maybe delayed.... The asiatic lilies haven't emerged, but they like it really warm.

Our clippings from a golden willow have popped their buds and look like they have the start of some roots emerging. Another few weeks and they will get put in some grow bags. Wifey is already planning where they will go along the new fence line. At least I know I have a year before I have to dig those holes;)

Going out to the shop now.... I was hoping that the boards took it upon themselves to have a staining party overnight, but that didn't happen. No rush to do all of them, so going to try and make the task enjoyable..... some music, nice roll about stool, and a leisurely pace....

Hope everyone has a great day!

Those crepe myrtles can be deceiving. We have a few. A lot of branches look dead and suddenly spring back better than ever. They are a bit later than some but ours still have some flowers now and we are in the middle of Autumn.

Went to the city yesterday. My wife wanted to look at cabinets. I decided to look for a new tablet for her as she is forever complaining about her iPad. It took a while as I signed up for a larger internet plan at the same time. She disappeared while the paperwork was progressing. Eventually she arrived back and said she had been looking at TVs. She wants to re-arrange the lounge room and decided the 65" TV that I bought a less than a year ago wasn't big enough for where she wanted it. She said an 85" would be OK though. As we were leaving the shop she told me they were delivering a new 85" TV next week! ?? She said "I have paid for it".
I wonder whose card she used.?
Haven't got the cabinet yet.
