Good morning!!!!

good morning all.
have been working for hours in office, need to pop up and say good morning.
an even nicer day today, going up to 59.
All that frozen ground is thawing and moving around like it does.
I see it in the flagstones in my walkway which were set I'm sure in a not deeply enough
dug foundation. So the frost heaves with a lot of power.

wallabies duking it out. Now there's something most of us don't see. Alien, time to set up cameras.

I dread my next project needed for church on Sunday, deals with that we cannot name, so will be glad when that's done later this morning so I can go outside
and get some sun on my face. Landscapers did a great job on the church walkway, as I knew they would. They are coming back this morning to do the garden bed mulching.
The plaque on the wall says 1735.

39°F and cloudy skies this morning, going up to 51° today. Light rain has started here in north St. Louis city, and will continue through the morning into the early afternoon.

Rip, I've been passing a large dead skunk on the side of the road about two miles from the house every morning since Wednesday. Fortunately, he doesn't stink. Saw another one this morning, and a third one thought about trotting out in front of me on IL-160 just south of Highland, but then changed it's mind at the last second. Been seeing a bunch of them over the last couple of weeks around here.

Saw on the news that one of my old employers, GKN Aerospace, is closing their St. Louis facility. I still have friends working there. Honestly, though, I'm surprised they stayed open as long as they did. It seemed they were going that direction when I left 10 years ago, having reduced the workforce by 1/3 over about two years.

Walkway looks good, Drew.

Good Morning
It’s 27 and supposed to more than double that. Up to 55 under clear skies.

Yesterday kept me busy with small chores, no projects worth mentioning. I’ve got a couple of steel fab projects coming up though.

Today has several possible paths to follow, not sure which way I will go. Didn’t get a lot of sleep last night, I was woken by my dog having a seizure. She seems ok now, but was very unsettled afterward, and would not lay down, just paced. She finally settled down and went to sleep, and got up normally this morning. She is 9 years old which is pretty elderly for a dog her size, but has been healthy as a horse until now.

All of this talk about population density made me look it up. 162 people/square mile for Tuscarawas County. Which surprised me it is that high. Lot of rural areas

State is 257.9 people/sq. mile.

291 per square mile here in this township. Northern part of county where Popgadget is much more rural. South of where Ken lives it gets very congested and all the lower end housing is in bottom of County bordering on Delaware River. And where Levittown was built way back when.

I wonder if the deer outnumber us here

Good morning! I slept really good and If I don't look at the clock to see how early it is I feel very rested.
50˚F SW wind heading to the mid 70s with sunny skies.

I get to see how the rest of the world fights the morning traffic today as I need to take the Kia in for a free oil change this morning. I had to make an appointment 2 weeks ago and this was the closest date.

A Land man called yesterday and Mom will be having a pipeline laid across her land. It will run from west Texas to Katy Texas. They will start surveying soon and then the negotiating will then start. It reminds me of buying a car - never a good experience. They have the threat of eminent domaine so it's not really fair but we all use petroleum products and the pipeline has to be laid somewhere. I forgot to ask him what will be flowing in the pipeline - but does it really matter, it all flows and either explodes or leave an environmental mess if ruptured.

They don’t always have eminent domain. My dad got hit up for a pipeline, it didn’t happen.
They usually have multiple routes they look at.

If it does happen, get good terms and damages in the contract.

Good Morning!!!! 64F @ 7:00AM. Sunny. High 76F. Winds light and variable.
the 10-day shows rain for Monday, but only 0.05". Not even enough to help hold down the dust.

That's probably the first recount of a wallaby fight in the GM thread, Doug. Hope it's the last, but if they're anything like the hummingbirds here, won't be.

Got to looking, and learned that this county has about 130 people per square mile, and actually lost population in the 2020 census. Not surprising given the wildfire problems. I also found a firefighter response time map from a 2017 study, and leaned the county thinks a 15 minute time is just fine. Too bad the insurance companies don't think the same thing.

These days, when I loan something out, I go with it to make sure it comes back.

Went far enough yesterday on the bike ride to hit a construction zone, complete with pilot car and long lines of trucks. Filtered to the front on the way out, but hesitated on the way back and saw the pilot car coming and just stayed in place. That meant riding behind traffic all the way back, so not the most fun. But it was time at temperature I was after for the head gaskets, so got more than I needed. Another session with the torque wrench this morning, and maybe another ride this afternoon. Not sure what the rest of the day will bring.

TGIF gang!🍻
