-13° right now...high in the low 20's today.
Heading in to work for a few hours this morning. I was told by IT that doing a wired connection, rather than wireless (at home) will correct my login problems.
Stepdaughter will be helping my wife when required.
Whenever I update my password on my company laptop, I have to have a wired connection to their network. Doesn't matter the location, as long as it's the companies VPN.

Password expires every 90 days on the dot. If lap top isn't connected to company VPN and password updated by day 93, it will be removed from the network. At that point I have to box it up and ship it back to the IT department in Connecticut. They have to manually unlock it, connect it back to the network, and then ship it back

Morning all, 9 and only going up from here
Yesterday morning called for 5-6" FRi-Sat, then last night 0" , then this morning 3-4"
They say this one has been rough to model and keeps changing.

C5 has 28 wheels on the landing gear. I watched them unload trucks from one. Funniest one was when they had the ramp part up and were pushing stuff off on to the back of a truck parked under the ramp. Until I found out one of the units was our electronics package-a bit bent up but still worked. They were in a rush that day and only had smaller boxes, in such a big plane, but it was a scheduled flight so.....
I could not take pictures due to the nature of my work, even when off base. We had a great group of Air force and civilians and would take trips as a convoy into the surrounding areas, not safe to go alone.

Stay safe and be well and good to see everyone still here,

We certainly live in a great country, some of the vistas you have shared are amazing.
Here is one from a recent trip.

good morning all
slept like a rock last night but still tired this morning
7 degrees out, brrrrrr.
headed downtown later to do some food shopping, not much else planned on such a cold day other
than running laundry.

mostly, thanks for the post. Many of us really appreciate it and in ways rely on it.

my friend who picked me up last night at Trenton train station was fooled by app that said train was an hour early vs at least that late,
and poor guy waited for two hours at train station for me. Next time I think I'll call the local limo company, don't want my friends coming to Trenton at night.
We took the wrong turn coming out of train station, despite my saying left, left LEFT, he went straight. Sigh. So we get on Route 1 headed North, totally wrong way, had to
exit and cut across town and went through some questionable areas which pretty much describes Trenton as a whole.

I put my LLBean fleece lined pants on this morning and am determined to stay warm

Ken, you took some great pics on your travels, thanks for sharing.

two cups of coffee and still fuzzy, traveling takes it out of me. Next time I stay a week, not three days. I was obeying the fresh fish rule for guests but they
really wanted me to stay longer.

On they into town this morning:

Good morning! -10 in town, actually colder than at the house which was a balmy -6. Supposed to get to 28 or so later.

Yesterday was another quiet day. So far, today is starting out the same. Handed off warranty reporting this week. Be interesting to see if it continues since I tried to pass off the simpler of the 2 reports previously and it died. But, not my problem.

My old creeper in the garage finally died. I have had that creeper for 40+ years. Found an ATD brand that also folds up into a seat. It showed up this week, put it together last night. This thing is a beast. And makes a nice seat too!

Stay warm and stay safe out there!

a new creeper Rich, sounds like the start of something good

I forgot to mention that when the train was trying to make up time last night, there must be some first quality Acela track between Baltimore and Philadelphia
because one of the tracking sites said we reported 111mph. Going that fast at night and the super fast clickety click sounds, you knew you were flying. I can't say
it felt reassuring either, remembering last week they hit cows on the track. 110mph cow can do a lot of damage.

Bill, that's a really fine idea.

Good Morning
7 degrees, might get to 30.
Forecasters are still deciding about the impact of the upcoming storm. It’s starting to look like it will not amount to much for us, likely less than 4 inches.

Yesterday was mostly a paperwork day, but with an excursion to Home Depot for some flex duct for my basement project. Picked up a pack out organizer for PEX fittings while I was there.
Made a hot dog and baked bean casserole for dinner, watched the jeopardy champ fall, which surprised me, because even I knew the correct answer.

Nor sure what today will bring, other than getting the trash and recycling to the street. Probably stop at a friends job where he is installing a mini-split heat pump. As I was typing this, just got a call from oldest son, he has a 100 amp circuit breaker tripped that supplies the aux heat for his heat pump, so I know what my next task is. Gotta get my bowl of Special K and get going now.

I don't know how fast I was going on the TGV, but on the German version, they have a digital speedo on the wall of each rail car. On one of the legs to Frankfurt, it was rolling along about 300 KMH....or 186 MPH, that was moving along. :)

Good morning! 37˚F heading to the upper 50s, cloudy. Wind today from the West, then North then East.

The big news today from Texas is that the new Tesla Giga factory is producing the model Y already and will soon be rolling out the new Tesla Cyber Truck.
Elon is already driving one around central Texas and I will keep a lookout for him.
I'm still looking for news of the giga factory's open house that was promised by Elon.
I'm seeing Teslas every day around here and there are two in the neighborhood.
Our sub neighborhood (the 5 streets around me, there are 90 sub neighborhoods here) has canceled the woman's hand and foot cards this week because of of . . .of . . . alligators. May have to call Christy to capture them. There is also a new alligator loose that looks like a singing group that sang "Dancing Queen". - is there a detective Buckeye in the house.

Morning all;
Interesting temps again here this morning +2F at my house when I left for physical therapy,
drove down (downhill most of the way) to the main road to got town and it was -3F,
got out of pt at 8AM and it was -4F.
Two projects for today,
first one go down to Town Clerks office and pay the property taxes for the year:mad:🤬
Then the second one;
going over to the farm to help move cows around, moving them from one feed lot to the barns
to sort and weigh some of them (don't bother with the brood cows) and then move them to two other winter
feed lot fields. Going to take some bundling up for that job today, and my long handles don't fit anymore dang it.
