Temps are dropping. Roads are pretreated.
Stopped at Costco after work to pick up TurboTax, no Costco water bottles. Crazy busy, usually Friday night is not busy. Got 2 6 qt cartons Mobil one for the Subaru, realized I’m overdue. I had a couple cartons, but it was on sale. And. I need to check brakes, starting to squeal at 120k miles.
Line to gas station was backed up thru parking lot so I passed, even though needed some.
Picked up Chinese food for supper.
Wife got Christmas tree undecorated, so I need to get it put away.
Wife had neighbors kittens in, they had fun playing. Even playing with our new cat some.

They pre treated our roads and we are expecting 1-2” of rain.

Don is Dr saying you should have 130 deg now or is that where you should get to? You may not get much tanning in, 10 day has 2 cold fronts coming through here.

Good morning! 43˚F cloudy and very windy from the North. Temps will stay in the 40s all day. Fire warnings are up. Wind is gusting at 30 mph.

It does seem like most do have bigger knees. Hmmm, maybe that is why it was so hard to place in the triathlons.

Mostly, the exact flex number the Dr. said was "128". ( I just rounded to 130˚ but since each degree is so hard to attain I'm going back down to his 128˚) The number "to get to" with more Egore sessions. He made me bend it back as far as I could in the examination room while sitting and said it looked like 105˚ - he did not measure and I had no pain pills or warm-up. In PT the measurement is made at the end of the session and laying flat on a my back on a hard table and holding for 10 long seconds.
I missed the two good tanning pool day because of dead vegetation removal in the yard and garden, at least they look pretty now. Maybe Wednesday before there is another pool opportunity. I have been cleared to swim but even the heated indoor pool looks cold.

They say the food shortages - empty shelves - are because people are stocking up for a big winter freeze that has not been predicted, hmmm.

Need to head to the gym to work the knee on these non-PT days, my only job this month.

I agree with Bird, enough of this cold weather - close that window up North.

Drambuie is a bit sweet for my tastes, but the ginger beer should tart it right up

Just make sure you DO NOT get the Dram in a plastic bottle. If you don't drink it all up in short order the plastic will turn the Dram sour and extremely bitter.

We go through Jameson's fairly quickly (if you live with 2 women and are acting as a nurse for one, you'll understand why)...other liquor is just an occasional treat.

good morning all
wow some mighty cold temps this morning. 11 here, that's plenty cold, going up to 26 in fair weather today.
9 degrees tomorrow morning, balmy for Bill but the deep freeze for here.

Wingsprd, glad you weren't on that ladder when it went over. Green chile burger sounds good.
Don, was wondering how your gardens were doing after that big freeze. Did they ever consider making removable covers
for the gardens?
Seed catalogs are coming in and thoughts turn to warmer weather.

I need to go foodshopping but might wait until this afternoon when it warms up a bit. An 11 degree car is not much fun to sit in...

how long do you all let your car warm up before driving off in really cold weather?
I can't let it sit too long in detached unheated garage or I'd get asphyxiated.
So I back up slowly and let it run for a minute or two in driveway. Usually fiddling with some heat control, making sure
seat and steering wheel warmers are on. But it's half way to town before they get very warm if it's this cold out like now.
Car does not have remote start but inside a garage I couldn't use it anyway.

I think I would wait a little longer for diesel than gas. I use only synthetic oil so less concern about lube.

there's nothing like the clatter of a very cold diesel in the barn.

My caar sits in a portable shelter (keeps the snow off the car and that is about it), I turn the block heater (from the kitchen) on 5-6 hours before I need it. Remote start it and drive off 10 minutes later. I also set my heater blower on max and the heater set to 80°F. (It is set to automatic as are my headlights)
I have heated seats and steering wheel but don't use them. The car is relatively warm (think 40-50° when I get into it).

Morning all, 14 right now after warming up for a bit. As cold as we usually ever get
Tree undecorated and thrown off the back deck for me to slice and dice today. I forgot to yell timber....

Most of the lights and features removed, just the front lights and light sphere to take in.
Went to allergist yesterday-not much to update but Dr. seems good

Current boss told me my new work assignment yesterday, should be fine. Going from regional to global projects.
But still have 4 projects and a program (group of projects or portfolio) on my plate, so we will see how long to transfer.

Gale - glad to hear sinus infection is getting better -

Roy how is Margeaux doing . I guess she's just fit in fine.

I only warm my car up for about a minute or so unless fully iced. Tractor for at least 5 minutes, but that is in heated garage.

Calling for snow into rain-so Monday may be bumper cars in the area. Seems like it will just be a mess.

They moved my sons band concert to live stream for today due to covid, but will be at a place called the Broken Goblet tomorrow- BG is much bigger/nicer and has a full stage with lighting and effects.
