Good morning!!!!

My recumbent bike is supposed to have an app that logs my riding. The app may have existed at one time, but not now. Not in the App Store. Overall the display is almost worthless. It has buttons that it will indicate monthly totals, but only the last ride button works. Once you finish a ride and save, the previous data is gone.
I started recording my rides on paper log.

Wife of guy that was to lead singing for our remote only service tomorrow just tested positive, so he won’t be there. With the late notice and threat of freezing rain tomorrow morning, we decided I would stream a prior service from last summer, so they are getting a rerun. I just tested and it worked, after finally remembering I needed the pc audio instead of the normal line in audio. As long as my internet is working long enough to start it, all done from my lazy boy and I don’t have to drive in icy weather.

Got neighbors barn cats in garage tonight. It’s not heated but is insulated, so in the 50s. They were just asleep together on a chair. I turned the chair so security cam sees them, they are asleep again on the chair. I put an old flannel sheet on chair for them.

New cat was growling at my wife after she had to grab it to put it back down. This cat was her doing, and we have it for a trial basis.

Good morning, low temp 24 and high to 30°F. Wind S 13 gusting too 19 mph. flurries.
I never trust the weatherman when he says 'flurries'. Many a morning after a 'flurries' forecast the night before I woke up to 16" of flurries on the ground.

Yes, it is infuriating when people say that they have saved up for something only to find when the event happens they have saved nothing. I was the same way when I was younger, but soon grew out of it.

So today is an energy conservation day.

Have a safe day all

Coffee is done brewing. 32° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 20° with cloudy skies and wind. Already seen the high for today. Did not get my conserve energy day. Neighbor invited me to go to range to fire a few rounds. With a stop at local barber for haircut. Did both. Had not fired my Ruger Wrangler since buying it. Nice handling gun. My other 2 hand guns preformed as they should also. Nice way to spend time on a cold winter day. Spent late afternoon cleaning them up.
Going into neighbors woods today and continue cleaning it up.

Drew, hope your neck is feeling better.

Buckeye, have you tried the Schwinn APPs.

Kyle, Prayers for your Mom. Costco and Sam's Club sell lift chairs. I think the one we got for my Mom came from Costco. I worked good.

Eric, is it out of season for Lambs to be born.

LS, nice trailer. Any pictures of inside.

Prayers and best wishes for everyone.

Good Morning All.

We're in a heat wave at 48F this morning with rain storms. In the last few weeks we had 5 inches and 5 inches of snow before the rain that started last night. Temperature range has been 7 to 71F which has been hard on animals and their care givers. The same goes those impacted by the Dec 10, 2021 tornadoes and recovery efforts. A large cup of black coffee out the door at McDonald's is $2.33 starting last week. As of the 1st KY is recomputing our 2022 vehicle tax bills based on JD Powers inflation research since it's no longer deemed transitory.

The Subaru Forester has been doing a good job twice daily in my go getter efforts. Be safe

good morning all
Gale, good to hear from you. Subies have great awd, makes you feel safe in the snow. That cup of coffee probably costs more for the cup than the ingredients.
Due to supply problems, several times I've asked for a small coffee and they gave me a large, same price, simply ran out of cups.

slept ok, still very twingey in neck. My five inches of titanium rod hasn't worn out but what it's attached to, particularly the disc below it, must be seriously unhappy.
going to try to keep soft collar on as much as possible but will take it off for church so I don't have everyone think I was in a car accident....

Supposed to be freezing rain soon, then rain most of day. Should melt a lot of snow today, which means Monday morning commute for many will be exciting with the black ice.
So many of the little back roads are in shade, don't melt very well and some don't get all the salt the main roads get. And one of them is my way to church so will drive slowly.
I'm more worried about folks sliding through curves into me by driving too fast. I'd rather have better tires on the Genesis but they are ok if I slow down. This Spring I may put a new set of tires on it that have better wet/snow traction. Dry traction not that important; I'm sure not driving fast enough to be worried about that...the Hyundai is like a Korean Buick, made for comfort not performance.

Toppop, you've been through the ringer friend. Feel better.

I think Mostly's reporting is invaluable and huge amount of info there. Picking on one tiny part isn't reasonable.

Does anyone recommend one of those recliners for seniors, that help lift you up to get out of it?

Prayers for our team, and our nation.
Prayers said for your mom and son.

We bought a pair of those recliners for my wife's parents, maybe 4 years ago...from Costco Online...delivered direct to their house...they were comfortable and pretty quick to raise you up. Her dad passed away, but her mom still uses hers.

I went to my cardiologist Wednesday and GP for yearly Thursday, both told me how well I was doing.
I had a bit of what I assumed was gout in my right ankle for a few days. Thursday night I didn’t feel great. I woke up Friday barely able to walk, vomiting, chills and generally miserable. I gradually improved later in the day and could keep a little food down and I could walk without a cane, barely. I slept about 19 of 24 hours. Much better today, no idea what it is.
Mixed news...but as I've said before, you're a tough Tar Heel!

32 going to 47 and then rain.

BEF, good plan playing a rerun.

Gale, coffee is one of the many commodities that have increased in price this past year, even higher than the stated inflation rate...cotton was one of the very highest. Prayers for Kentucky.

LS, great RV...sounds like many fun trips ahead.

Ron, glad you got some shooting time.

Over 8,500 members of our electric co-op are still without power since the Monday storm...high was over 90,000 so they've made good progress...their email yesterday said that it took 90 years to build their grid, and 60% was damaged by this storm. Additional crews have come to help from Missouri, Georgia and some other states.

Used the tractor to move a heavy pallet of firewood to the porch...got it done early while the ground was frozen...no ground damage...amazing how many ladybugs and stink bugs are hibernating between splits. I knock most of them off, but there are always a few flying around the house after they wake up.

Went to the battlefield forest for a hike yesterday...took my micro spikes for the hills, but didn't need them...lots of tree damage there, too...had to go around quite a few too heavy to move.

Need to do more forest clean up today before the rain gets here. We've been delayed getting the outdoor Christmas decorations due to the snow and ice on them.
