41F, cloudy, and damp @ 11:45, heading up to a high of 48F for the day.

Awakened this morning by noise of heavy equipment somewhere in the neighborhood, guessing it's either a wood chipper or a forestry mulcher. Seems like it was pretty far away but it was loud.

More paperwork done yesterday + research. Result of all that looks like more research today ... lol.

Managed to get haircut worked in too.

Finished watching Season 1 of The Expanse last night and started on Season 2.

White Feather hostas really popping up:

Need to refill feeders today plus some fish room work.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable, productive, and safe day ... (y)

Good Morning
It’s 41 and might make 50 today, but it will be another dreary day with rain likely, but only minor accumulation. Yesterday we got .18” and the Tempest and Davis were in agreement. It seems like it is in heavy rain when the Tempest is unreliable.

Yesterday I had breakfast with my retired lawyer turned professor friend, and lunch with another old friend that I haven’t seen in several years. After lunch it was chore time, moving hay from the hay shed to the barn and other chores. Sure was a sloppy mess out there. We need a good freeze so I can get some tractor work done.
Today, the Christmas tree gets added to the brush pile, then I want to make a simple tool to lift the trash cans onto the brackets on the Carryall. I’m thinking a simple rocker lever like is used to lift drywall off the floor, but with a bit more lift. The final design will hinge on what materials I have laying around.

The new range I put in the kitchen a few years ago has an air fry function, but we have only used it a few times. I think I ought to revisit it after reading the comments here.
I can't remember if you stated so or not, but if your bed dumps hydraulically can you mount your brackets on the back, raise the bed, back up and lower the bed to lift the cans?

That would be a great plan, but it’s a manual dump.
As well as the toters are too wide to mount on the back of the tailgate, so I put one on each side.

I actually considered adding a powered dump, but making a bracket wide enough would interfere with everyday use.

Instead of a permanent mount, could you use a piece of channel to hang the bracket on top of the raised tailgate? That way it's not in the way. After you added the power dump of course. Sorry, just intrigued with the idea of picking up the cans with the bed. I tow mine down my 1000' lane hooked to my hitch on the truck. Even added a hook to one can to pull tandems lol

Got my new cell camera today. Gonna like this one. It has a monthly plan cost, but still cheaper than adding one to my Verizon data plan.

However the brand new lithium batteries from Amazon only report 50% charge.

Forgot to order an SD card for it, so got one on order, and another HDMI adapter that never came. Hope this one comes.

Send details please. PM if too detailed. Does it have a signal strength indicator?

I grow weary of running out back only to find nothing on the cameras. Guess I am getting lazy.

RECONYX hyper fire 2 4G LTE. I got one that has connection for external power supply or solar panel.
I got Verizon sim. They also offer att
The manual says you can use your own sim and not use their service.

They have a variety of cameras, I got the license plate reader one, as I want to capture who’s coming onto dad’s property. Only 1 road in.

Has a phone app to configure and view pics.
It shows signal strength, battery level, SD card usage.
You can also hibernate a camera up to 6 months with no fee or reactivation charge. As far as I know, there was no activation charge, but I have not activated it yet.

You got me worried, because I recently bought 12 Eveready AA Lithium to put into a cell trail camera when I visit it in April, that won't get changed again until September. They were hard to find, and pricy. I just opened the pack to sample one and it checked out at 1.80 volts, whereas the usual new alkaline reads 1.6 volts when new.

Bought 2 8 packs, 4 I didn’t use measure 1.799
