57F and fair @ 17:45, headed down to 47F for the overnight low.
Got 75' garden hose moved around to the west side in preparation for some end of the season pressure washing tomorrow out front.
Another two rows of wire taken down off the electric fence, only bottom two remain.
Got the six oak trees planted and watered in with The Woman's assistance. Modified plans on that slightly: three of them - the largest ones which had significant roots - went into three holes that were prepped up along the driveway. Figured transplanting them again next year might be a problem given the amount of roots. The smaller ones went into the forsythia holes.
Woman brought me home a waffle from Waffle House.
Buck damaged volunteer apple tree, taking out the central leader and a number of lower limbs, didn't get it caged in time:
Need to examine it tomorrow and see if the upright branch on the left can function as a replacement, then trim it up and cage it.
Got 47 tulip bulbs planted. That's the good news.
The bad news is 900+ bulbs is a heck of a lot of bulbs ... plus those bulbs came out of a bag that was supposed to contain 50 bulbs ... and there's still 20 bulbs left in the bag ...
And I have several more bags of tulips like it.
Guessing maybe they package them by weight, not by actual count ???
Certainly not complaining though, glad to get more than what I was expecting. Hope they look nice.
Final thing was getting the little lily (of an unknown type) planted. Only Salvia and hemlock remain.
Last of the bean soup is on the stove calling my name.
Hope everyone had a great day ...
