Good evening all. 66F for the start, clear sky calm wind. Light wind day, mostly cloudy this afternoon, rain a few miles to the west of us, and high temp was 86F, DP 67F. Bike ride to start day, wife had appointment in town, so off to town we go. I went grocery shopping while she kept her appointment, then lunch, home, and no nap, had to make meatloaf if I wanted supper . Turner out good even if I say so my self. Never found her recipe, put one together based on cookbook and online research.
Covid update: Cooke 3829 confirmed cases, 66 active cases, Montague 2305 confirmed cases, 63 active cases, Grayson, 13950 confirmed cases, 341 active cases. Cooke 19, Montague 27, Grayson 177, new cases.

76F and clear @ 22:15, headed down to 67F for a low tonight. Line of storms running from western Ontario back to west of Indianapolis currently approaching, should be here in an hour or two if they hold up.

Drilled two holes towards the bottom of the front yard for the peach trees to start off, one on either side (east and west)

Then dropped the bucket and moved Trac-Vac out of barn and afterwards put the pallet forks on and fished the PHD stand out and brought it over to the house behind the garage.

Removed auger into auger rack, stuck the one my friend borrowed back on there too.

Then removed PHD onto it's stand.

After that put the box blade and quick hitch back on and came back over to the house.

Then I took cultivator off FS66 and put the SuperCut 2 head on and mowed down weeds around the peonies out front.

At that point my shirt was completely soaked and I was dripping and decided I needed to cool off so I came into the house for a couple of minutes and fixed another cuppa (with ice)

After I had cooled off I headed over to the neighbors on the first of four trips with the Kubota and came back with the first load of "treasure" ... :

Doesn't look like much but there's a pair (one long, one short) of Klein Tools fish tapes buried in there, a pair of shingle removal shovels (could be handy), a aluminum housing chain come-a-long, some tire chains for a tractor, a roller stand, and a galvanized metal drain pan in good condition ... along with various other items.

(Woman already has eyes on the square tub - whose bottom is rotted out - for a planter ... )

At that point The Woman had returned from her grocery shopping/pet treat acquisition trip and was waving me down to the house to let me know she had brought back lunch (and as it turns out, dinner) ... so I headed on down.

She was very pleased that the weeds had been cut down around her peonies.

After lunch I headed back over to neighbors for Round Two:

Engine supposedly good, transmission supposedly bad ... haven't really scoped it out yet and have no idea what I will ultimately do with it. But she needed it gone.

Round Three:

Wagon appears to be solid and in fairly decent shape (although the tires need some air), I think an inversion table (always wanted to try that and see if it made any difference with my back), a gas edger (of unknown condition), a few steel shelves (the rest are still there), and some sort of an electric-powered grinder with a reduction gear box, Lovejoy couplings and 1/3 HP Westinghouse motor (unknown condition)

After I got all that junk hauled over, The Woman wanted to water plants (because: sure, why not ? ... it's not like it's supposed to RAIN ANYTIME SOON or anything ... )

So I headed around back to grab the 65 gallon tank with the Kubota. I filled up the sprayer while I was waiting for her to change and then headed over to the east side planting bed. We watered all of the that, and then headed up to the northeast planting bed and got all of that done as well. Followed by a trip up into the lower front to water the ginkgo tree and then down to hit the northwest planting bed. She watered that while I raked out an adjacent area I had recently sprayed.

At that point the tank was empty so I took it around back and put it on a slow fill and she went work on weeding the Stella D'Oro's ... so we could at least find them to dig them out and transplant them.

And I headed back over to the neighbors for Round Four of the Treasure Hunt:

Old steel glider, in fairly rough shape ... probably destined for the scrap yard.

After I got back I took the 65 gallon tank up and watered the hosta around the big maple while she continued her weeding. Neighbor and her daughter were out riding their bikes and stopped by to visit with the cattle so we chatted for a bit.

When The Woman finished she came up on the Cub and joined me.

It was a beautiful evening and very pleasant out - we were both surprised it was actually 82 degrees but it didn't feel hot - just as it started to get dark.

I put the hose on the lilac bush and we walked over inspected the hosta at the back of the shop which appear to be thriving. Then headed down to finish up watering the northwest planting bed.

I stayed to get that done and she headed over to the house to put the tools away.

All said, turned out to be a pretty decent day.

But I am looking forward to a little cooler temps ...

Drinking first cup of coffee. 60° with a few clouds this morning. Heading to 75° with mix of sun and clouds. Storms stayed away to get grass mowed in afternoon. Picked up a old Atlas Shaper. $30 need some repairs. I figured the 3/4 hp motor was worth that much. Thunderstorms started about 3pm. Continued until after 9pm. Mostly wind and lightning. .31" of rain. No plans for today yet.

good morning all
cloudy day, high in upper 80's with rain coming in tonight and for next few days.
going to be a busy day, supermarket run, then get tortured at dentist after lunch and then a school board meeting by zoom
tonight.
First job this morning is trying to track down second garden shed which is MIA.
I went back to Amazon and the price of the shed has now risen 350 dollars since I first ordered it.
I may have to start over with a different model, which considering I've already built the frame for this is most annoying.

Roy, a front snowblower sounds like a lot of work to install. More than I would want to do at my age.

A standard factory front blower is a hassle, no doubt. My neighbor has one for his Kioti.
First, you lose use of the loader as most (all, I think) have to be removed for the front blower to mount. Then there's rigging the PTO shaft.
The hydraulic blowers require rigging a power pack to the 3PH and PTO drive...no different or more work than any other driven rear implement. The blower itself uses the loader mounts like the bucket or forks. As many hydraulic blowers use SSQA mounts, if you own a Deere or other brand with a proprietary mounting system, might need an SSQA adapter.
Then there's rigging the hydraulic lines...although it wouldn't seem to be a major hassle, I'd expect you'd have to use hangers or brackets of some sort on the tractor/loader.
So, a trade off...
My main hindrance is the cost of the blower and hydraulic power pack...good $10K-$12K to get in the door.
Long term, I think it would be a worthwhile investment...
