RNG, looks like you are making a Mad Max mobile there!

storm is skirting just North of here, will see what afternoon brings
spent three hours working on security analysis for church.
now maybe go for short walk before rains come down and then work on cleaning up my office.
My administrative assistant has been MIA, and my piles are starting to keel over. No excuse, I have a file
cabinet here, but as I've said before, I'm a much better piler than filer.

PJ, that sounds like the "new math" but it's all good for sure. Congrats. Enduring love is the best.

deadheaded some roses and zinnias, picked a green pepper, looking for something to do outside until the heavy rains come around 2pm.

have to figure out what to do with the next batch of tomatoes. These are the vining/indeterminate tomatoes, second stage in my two stage
tomato booster rocket outside. Picked them early in case of high winds or too much water from storm.
Sadly tomatoes are like alcoholics
they just don't know when to stop drinking...and split they will.
They ripen up pretty quickly inside

a friend made a BLT for me using my tomatoes that was so good I bought my first bacon
in over a year and that's where at least one of those tomatoes are headed. There's a big one on the bottom
that may be calling my name.
I also picked up another container of fresh mozzarella cheese. That sliced up with tomatoes, fresh basil, olive oil, dijon mustard and red wine vinegar is
one of my favorites.

Good afternoon.

Other than seeing a batch of lambs off to market, this is turning out to be a pretty lazy day, partially because we are still recovering from grandkid visits on Bank Holiday Monday, partially also because I just can't find the bottle of special oil that I need to turn burnt sand into pliable mastic to repair gaps around the windows. It does look a bit like chainsaw oil - maybe that is why the Husky has not been cutting as well recently  :)

Ron, little Sassy is brave to stare down something the size of a deer. I don't think our Max has any concept of size, he will pick a fight with anything that trespasses.

Wng, 2 out of 3 sensible quotes is good going. Around here many building trades seem to have so much work booked in advance, they don't even bother giving a quote.

David, not just supervision, looked like they were discussing quality of your workmanship - hope it passed !

Kyle, good to hear your friend is starting to recover (y)

Good afternoon. It is only 66 right now. Still predicting 73 for a high. Rained most of the night into this morning. Was very light rain when I drove into town this morning.

Before I switched to DeWalt 20V Max tools, my wife had bought me some Craftsman 18V tools (driver, trim saw). I liked them, but battery life was not great, worse the chargers had a short life too. Switched to DeWalt and didn’t look back. I thought she had tossed the Craftsman tools, but she didn’t. Recently, been working on the trailer and thought it would be nice to have a w2nd driver to use. Looked around for batteries/charger for the Craftsman stuff. Hard to find and expensive.

Found a seller on fleaBay who 3D prints adapters to use modern batteries you can buy to older battery powered tools. For $35 figured I would take a chance. Assembled the adapter using parts from the old battery, some wire, and some soldering last night. Worked great first time. Both the saw and driver work fine using the DeWalt battery.

So if you have older tools with dead batteries, might be a way to get more use out of them.

Only one answering the phones today at work. Hasn’t been too bad. The PIA is not here which always makes it more pleasant. He had to travel to resolve a couple of messes he created because he doesn’t know as much as he thinks he does. Must not have been any auctions recently, haven’t gotten those calls yet this week

Everyone stay safe out there

69F and partly cloudy @ 12:00, heading up to a high of 75F for the day becoming more sunny as the day wears on. Similar forecast for tomorrow but more sunny to start. Fairly breezy both days. Neither day is particularly suitable for spraying due to the wind.

Soil temps are on a downward trend, currently at 73F down from a high of 79F back on the 28th.

Revised Ten Day weather forecast shows we're likely going to experience much cooler temps throughout the period. High for next Wednesday only expected to reach 71F.

The Woman went outside 15 minutes ago to check if her weed killer application had killed anything and came back in and announced that it was beautiful working weather and "we" needed to get moving. She even changed into her work clothes.

Went back outside 5 minutes ago (after the sun came out) and came right back in, proclaiming it was now "too hot" ...

Now she's off to the grocery store ...

Have to go take a look, but I suspect lawn mowing will be on the agenda for today.

Might get some more soil screening in as well.

Beyond that not sure.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable, productive, and safe day ... (y)

70°F and .01 inches rain.

Need to check my clean up from grouting. Ran out of daylight so I suspect there is some. Now that it’s painted probably should seriously consider tying in the electricity and hang some lights.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day
