Yellow tomatoes, wife prefers them for eating, less acid. These did very well.

Good you found redbuds. The only redbud I have left came up from seed. Ice storm took down the one we planted years ago, now this one is splitting from ice a couple winters ago.
I should till and mulch around it so some seeds will sprout.

Got responses from tech support for both the stream deck issue, and the projector switch serial port not working. Gotta get both some data.
Can’t test the stream deck remote, gotta poke the buttons. I wish the software you use to program the buttons had a way to execute to test it. I could bring the stream deck home, but it worked fine here.

Looks like ida is over Nashville. Today we might get storms ahead of it, now over WV. Looks like ida will follow up thru WV and hit us direct tomorrow.

Wife uses ground turkey for meat loaf in the stuffed peppers. She also adds taco seasoning that gives it a different taste.

Mine getting bad streaks again already. A copper or galvanized strip near the top would also stop it from streaking.

asphalt roofs with algae streaks are common here and easy to cure.

a roofer told me to do this so i did. i didn't research any further than that so if i did something wrong...sue me.

went to swimming pool supply co, bought what's called SHOCK. mixed it up, applied to wet roof, rinsed a little later, streaks gone.

he did say to cover any shrubs that might be in the line of fire.

Morning all, overcast, smoke? rain ? who knows, but calling for 3"+ tomorrow
Ongoing fight chainsaw vs. large Ash, Ash is winning, some of it is still green, some rotten, some dry dust.
Tried going back to 18" bar, that was a mistake, will go back to a 20" bar and just let the saw cool off more between cuts. I can feel it overheating after about 3/4 tank, and it is hot out too, not helping.

Drew-I only got 2 peppers so far, and neither looks as good as yours.
RS- as usual-get worn out just reading your work accomplishments. Good job.

Wngsprd - just did my garage roof last year with the GAF thicker shingles, but had them put a zinc strip up under the ridge vent as the back of that roof stays in the shade.

Good Morning.
It’s 71 and going to 81 with cloudy skies and little chance of rain.
Or at least that what the Tempest says. It’s over cast and raining here in Lexington, KY where I spent the night. Lots of weather on the way here last night, we tracked a long way from a straight line.
Shouldn’t be too bad going home this morning, should be back before noon.

Yesterday, I got the last speaker finished before I left, but still have to get it boxed up and shipped today when I get home. Shop is all ready for the new welder, which is coming today, so I’ll be busy when I get home, the speaker has to leave before I can setup the welder though.

Got a couple of hours of dusty mowing done yesterday, then "scared" the T-storm away by putting the tarps back over the firewood and taking down the glass gazing balls. We got a little shower as it turned south.

Met with another roofer. Looking at GAF and Atlas shingles...anyone had any recent experience with either? Kyle, good idea on metal, but we don't get hail here except on rare occasion, and the metal roof costs 2.5X-3X more, according to the roofer, who also installs it. Already it is sounding like we are gonna get gold plated shingles anyway, based on the estimates. Actually, they really do put copper into the shingle granules to stop the black algae streaking so common in humid climates...Atlas makes a big deal of the extra quantity of copper vs. the competition...they branded their shingles with Scotchguard. Both shingle makers have cut back on the colors they are making due to the C. virus. So we're not getting our first pick, but my wife is okay with 2nd choice. She's so good.

We've received 3 estimates...2 very close, the third was 4 times the first two. I'm gonna ask the guy to check his figures, just for fun, since he also said our roof was much larger than the other two (which were both the same and which matched my calculations). I gently challenged his number but he insisted. First thing he had asked me when we met was to name qualities I was looking for in picking the company to do the roof. I said, "Trust." I think he may have misheard me and thought I said distrust.

IIRC, the bid for a composition roof was $5550, and my metal roof was $8000. It is galvalume R panel with 1 x 4 lattice underneath. Many are going with standing seam now.

You might solicit more bids.

most local trees have some kind of lichens growing on them, this type is common

got my walk in, hosed off the car, made room in garage to put car away and waiting
for lawn to dry out to mow. That may take a while.

70°F and foggy this morning, going up to 82°. Quite enjoying this relief from the heat.

I've always loved stuffed peppers, too, Bird. My Mother used to cook them until the peppers got soft. My Wife cooks them with the peppers still kind of firm. I'll eat them either way.

Nice picture, Ron. My Wife told her boys she was in big-time downsizing mode, and to let her know if there was anything they wanted before she gets rid of it. She gets like this every few years.

Good morning! Starting off with a warm 78˚F heading to the upper 90s this last day of August.

Drew you win the prize for the best looking pepper plant, and largest picture frame.

Dr. annual went well, blood work good, he suggested a pneumonia vaccine, done. Too early for the flu shot or the covid booster. There was a lot of coughing that I could hear through the walls, glad to get out of there.

Cards were a disaster last night. I'll have a lot of ground to make up the next month only 4 more sessions in this quarter's rankings and I fell hard from 3rd place last night.

Trail clean-up continues but I have my "with-in reason" clause. Some things can wait till cooler weather. The sessions that start at the hottest part of the day (4 PM) fall outside the clause.

Garden work and lawn mowing are delayed a day while I make a run to Mom's for her drivers license renewal. There must have been a cancelation in this COVID times so I grabbed it. They do not answer their phone and do not let you in without an appointment that has to be made on-line. The elderly who do not have smart phone or access to the internet are left out.
