Popgadget and I have been helping Makita sales lately, I just ordered the cordless hedge trimmer.
The forsythia bush at the end of the driveway needs to be kept trimmed or it blocks my vision looking for
traffic. Once again I go into Amazon and it says you bought this in May of 2016. Yup. I wonder who has it now, bet
it's still running fine. Since I have the batteries it only makes sense, since I only have to buy the tool.
I have a lot of finishing work to do in prep for cladding the house so I am looking at the (Brushless) Makita Compound sliding saw. It comes with 2 batteries and charger and work table for around $1500. I already have a Makita hedge trimmer, drill and sawzall so it will join the family. I also have some Ryobi tools which I am happy with. I have been a Makita fan since the early '80s.

Had a bad dose of gout yesterday in my big toe. Could barely get around. My good girl drove to town and got me my Lengout tablets. Much improved this morning. Attack came on in about an hour after dinner. Usually I wake up with it.

It's only 44 up in the mountains and it looks clear as a bell on the webcam, so sure wish I could go for a long hike. I've been doing well since my surgery Friday...a good nurse is my wife. Had a scare last week before my surgery, but have a good surgeon. Not able to do much physical for 6 weeks, but was able to roast 3 batches of coffee yesterday and watch some baseball.
Good to read your spirits are high and obeying the nurse.

Alien, sorry about your toe. Tart cherry juice worked well for me.

Ken, fine looking broccoli.

Don, I think it's going to be a melon or a watermelon. In that spirit, here's one I grew in 2018 in NC
I got good local training on how to thump a watermelon.

One of my Wife's cousins is married to a carpenter. He was telling me a couple weeks ago that he recently bought a cordless DeWalt Framing Nailer and a couple of 9-hour batteries, and the batteries actually last all day. No more hauling around a power generator and a compressor for remote jobs. No more dragging long extension cords and air hoses either.

After seeing this YouTube I am now declaring it most likely a cantaloupe. The leaves are heart shaped.
