71F and "Fair" @ 23:30, heading down to a low of 63F for the overnight.

Inside "chore" successfully completed, rain showers held off ...

Spread another 9 bags (360 lbs) of lime on lower front, finished that just as Woman arrived home, so took break for dinner.

Then around 20:30 after dinner spread 1 bag (40 lbs) of lime spread down here around the house. Also spread 1 bag + another partial bag of gypsum down around house - probably around 55 lbs. Washed out spreader after I finished.

After that I started mowing wood/compost lot - about 21:00 - under the lights. Didn't get that completed but did get it about half done. Will finish it up in the morning, then mow the upper front.

Came inside around 21:30 local.

Woman thinks lawn is starting to green up and is looking good ...

About to grab a shower and hit the rack.

Looks like E. Texas might have sunny dry days through next week. We need to dry out. We’ve been getting about 3 x more rain here than home in Central Texas. High humidity.

with all the stories on water problems in your area, seems like a very smart idea to have your own tank.

for the last week cicadas have been buzzing constantly, definite background noise, like millions of weedeaters far away.
I guess they keep buzzing until they find a mate, and then they die. With that kind of romance, no wonder they only show up
every 17 years... No second dates here.

Coffee is done brewing. 62° with with partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 85° with slight chance of thunderstorm in evening. Good storm came thru about 7pm yesterday. Lost power for awhile and some tree limbs down. .13" of rain. Neighbors countertop came out good. He is staining and varnishing it. Waiting for Lexan to arrive. Then I will help with that and do trim. Did not get grass mowed. Working in close to 90° said it will wait another day. Back on list for today.

Mostly, no pictures yet. Was going to take one. Then realized that tools were all over the place. Decided it would be a good time to pick them. Then forgot to take picture.

51° right now, high in the mid-upper 70's.

Chores: Dump run and must stop at the bank (deposit) as well as get fuel for the zero turn. After that, decide to mow the lawn and string trim, or finally get those belts on the flail mower. Weather looks all weekend so what doesn't get done today should get done tomorrow...
