44F and clear here @ 22:15, headed down to a low of 32F. Was raining when I got up ... ended up clearing out and warming up to 54F this afternoon. Very windy though.

Aerating the lawn didn't happen today (rain) ... imagine it will still be plenty wet enough to do it tomorrow - plus it will be a lot nicer out.

Went to grab my coffee out of the microwave this morning and startled a rose-breasted grosbeak off the suet feeder outside the kitchen window.

Noticed the bluebirds were on the rail of the back deck, probably looking for a suet meal ... then noticed both suet feeders were no longer hanging, and that the nugget feeder was down as well ... with corn spilled all over the back deck.

Dunno if it was squirrels or 'coons that got them (probably coons) ... but it's now WAR ...

Refilled hopper, two sunflower tube, and both nyjer feeders. Also zip-tied an old cat food can to one of the poles and put out some live mealworms. Located the suet feeders - 'coons had reached down from the roof and grabbed them and left them in the gutter. I reached up and fished them out, still had suet in them.

Got two the lids for two plastic containers drilled with the pin vise making some vent holes last night and got some oatmeal cooked up to start two new cultures of banana worms. Added some yeast this morning and innoculated them with worms to get them going.

All fish and cats fed.

Located some red primary wire last night, know there is a roll of black wire some place around here ... will have to see if I can scare that up.

Also located the battery and charger for the hedge trimmer that we spent a bunch of time looking for this past week.

Just placed the order for the rest of stuff I need for the lighting install on the Cub, will be here Monday.

Had a huge bowl of The Woman's spaghetti for dinner, followed by some of her oatmeal raisin cookies for desert.

Hope everyone had a great day ... (y)

38 right now...high in the low 50's...maybe snow showers this morning...

it's probably going to be too wet for outside work today. I'm donating some books to a local organization that supports the local library. The former owners of the place we live left 200-300 books and I want the shelf space for other things
While I'm out and about, I'll pick up the 16 gauge wire, in-line fuse and fittings I need to wire those LED work lights I'd written about in previous posts

Up way too early...back to bed for a bit, I think...

Good morning all and happy first day of May.
Temps sure dropped last night, about 40 out now, going up to mid/high 60's in sun today.
At least no need for a/c today...or trips to the basement to cool off.

I see one of my flower pots in the middle of the lawn, there were four on top of the picnic table and one
was blown off in the wind. Will have to repot this morning.

haven't had any tylenol in a day, shoulder pretty sore but perhaps slowly improving. At least no stabbing pain anymore.
But still can't pick up arm which is worrisome. or if I try it hurts so much I have to stop. Just not going to push it this first week.

Toppop, how are you feeling this morning?
