good morning 57 degrees headed to 80 today very nice for august. got a lot to get done today and tomorrow rain the rest of the week. Texas I wish you could have just a little bit of the rain we are getting as of today we are 18" above normal for the year. our outside work as been very slow. got to go to SS and get a gate and some wire and of course fill my gas cans so I can mow. I have mowed 2 times a week sence first of April. everyone have a great day

Morning all. 0700. Sunny, 73 with 94% humidity. Forecast high of 95 with 30% chance of rain. Had a big thunderstorm yesterday just before dark. Lots of lightning, thunder and hard rain. Bahiagrass has already shot up long stems and seeds again. Thank God for the 6' RFM.

But since I am at a desk job today, far from home. I really don't care what the weather does.

On the projects front, I am in paint mode, more inside work. This week our latest addition to the farm buildings should be legal and ready for use by weeks end!

Good morning all. 67F at the start 80F cloudy and 30% rain chance. Sod is doing well. Oil cahnge this morning and some lawn trimming, both push mower and weed whack.

78* with 71% humidity, going to a high of 100+, and no chance of rain. I'm pretty sure summer has arrived here! I wish they'd pay me to give the weather reports, each day. I could day hot and sultry, and hot and sweltering, as easily as the others do!

From my limited time spent in Texas and OK years ago, I remember the heat and the lack of rain. While some of us are fortunate with rain this year, every day in the dry parts of Texas was a constant conversation and struggle about rainfall and water.

And when it did rain, I recall so much so fast I thought I'd get washed away.

Sure hope you folks in TX get some rain.

Note to self. ROP is taller on 3930 than B7500.

Other than one broke limb, I got front and side yards cut without any problems. I lowered the cutting height 1/2", trying to find a height that would work for front yard and pasture. Still not low enough for front yard, and it scalped in two places on side yard. I will go down another 1/2" next week when I do the front yard, and I will keep it like it is for the rest. Like my old boss at the golf course used to say when I scalped the steep hillsides of rough, "it will be leveler next time."

Edit: Just got a good shower as I was posting. Nice rain with no lightning. I had planned on going across the road to cut Mamma's yard, but it will have to wait for another day.

Nice day here, supposed to get some rain later. Had a colonscopy this am, nice not to drink the prep and go thru that for another 5 years! Everything was ok. Can't drive or use any equipment today, so I am going to weed and water the garden in a bit. I was pretty hungry afterwards, hadn't eaten in over 24 hours.
