Brin why so much for the A/C. A can of Freaon w/ stop leak was $20. This is the second go around, added freon 4 yr ago, worked till this year then quit. Still have the hose to fill from another freon can if needed.
Coffee is brewing. 53ー with clear skies this morning. Heading to 72ー with mostly clear skies today. Yesterdays nice weather got out doing more than I normally do. Got a list to work on. Then some NASCAR in the afternoon.
Good Morning All.
Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes, great 61st birthday with some of my kids/grandkids.
Met Drew and Nadene today at the car show in Snow Hill, MD, very nice people as were their friends. We got our picture taken together and you might get to see my ugly mug if Drew posts it!![]()
Good Morning! reporting in from my friends house in DE. Slept in, boy were we tuckered out from yesterday, but what a fun day.
Not only did we get to meet TopPop, but what an amazing celebration in this small town. Glad we got there early, and I lucked out with a spot where we could easily get the motorhome in and out. First I parked in four spaces, then felt guilty, and said I can't leave it like this, so we fiddled around and got it to fit in just two spaces, front to rear, quite nicely. I was wondering if some genius with a diesel dually would park next to us,which means when we open the door and the entrance stairs automatically come out, the stairs would wack into the neighbor. But oh joy, two little cars parked on both sides, and we had no problems at all.
Jim Perdue was the main speaker but we didn't wait for him. There was a stage, and so many people packed into this little town, with eight huge combines taking up the entire street, almost from curb to curb. Funny, red and green, red and green. Nadene's leg was hurting her so we pushed her around in a travel wheelchair, and there was simply no way to move in the mass of people. All who were nice and having a good time. What a great slice of small town America.
Randy/Toppop's car club was amazing. I've never seen so many tripower engines in my life. They must put dual quads and trips on their lawn mowers in this area, because they were the thing to have. Beautiful Z28's, GTO's, (including a 64) all in gorgeous condition. And of course my good friend Wayne took a pic of us with my eyes shut, but oh well.
Lots of pics, here are a few. My favorite was the smiles on the young kids faces who were driving the modified lawn tractors, which made amazing noises.
They were having the time of their lives, and it was just fun to watch.
Put 130 bucks into the motorhome tank and it didn't fill it up, but gas is cheaper here, so taking advantage of it.Am getting used to the gas pump quitting on me long before I'm done, with a suburban and now this 80 gallon motorhome. Some stop at one hundred, this stopped at one thirty. Perhaps good I didn't see what it could go up to, but nothing could compare to putting over a thousand dollars of diesel in my old boat. My mileage probably isn't so hot, and the built in Ford info screen on the dash doesn't give mpg. Not sure I want to calculate it either.
