Well, spent a bunch of money today, ordered all the materials. I'll stockpile them until I can get around better and actually be able to do more than just walk. I haven't even tried to get on the tractor.

I figured since I became a pro at spending money in just a few clicks, I continued the trend and ordered a side link.... Woohoo! I am now fully hydraulic!

I never considered selling my old oil burner. Hummm. It’s a smith.
View attachment 688559
Your boiler was a Smith or possibly an A.O.Smith with a Becket AFG burner.
My boiler is an A.O.Smith 5 section with the Becket "AFG" burner thinking back it has burned over 30,000 gallons of fuel oil in it's life. When the kids were all at home and I hadn't put the coal insert in we would run between 1300-1500 gallons of oil per year. (5 girls use a lot of hot water) I'm down to under a 1000 gallons a year now, 800 last year. Reminds me I better go stick the tank soon and see what it looks like.
I've seen them for sale every were's from a $100 to $900 this fall.

@ Gale Hawkins

Funny, My wife and I have started taking Vitamin D3 etc and she had to go for a blood test last week. The Dr looked at the results and said, "hmm, are you taking Vitamin D?" She laughed and said yes. It showed up as a 70 in the results.
That is great especially going into fall season soon. While Covid-19 has been more deadly in our part of the world I think the wake up call will lead to a net gain health wise for the world. Millions have been suffering and dying prematurely due to Vit D deficiencies world wide for decades. In 2013 in the middle of summer my level was 22 ng/ml and a year later it was 28. The doctor said get serious about shooting for 90 ng/ml. The kids where 15 and watching my health failing fast and using electric scooters for shopping and going to parks with them. Oct 2014 I chose life over death and can't even find a walking cane that were once in every vehicle and tied to the tractor in case I broke down and had to walk home. Oct 2014 was when I painfully ditched foods and drinks containing added sugars and any form of any grain and hope came to me more real for the future.

You sure live in a beautiful part of the world that I want to see someday.

It's funny, when you live somewhere it is all taken for granted. I moved to Australia in 1976 and it wasn't until I had a few return trips to New Zealand that I realized what a beautiful country it was. As I travel around Australia, the diversity amazes me. It is all so different. We are very happy here and have no intention of ever moving again. Everything is so convenient where we are. Just need to get some health issues sorted and life will be wonderful.

Good evening all. 33F for the start, clear sky, light breeze. Light wind day, clear sky, and high temp was 61F. Puttered some this morning then replaced tube on Volagi, after inspecting tire for glass. Stayed on Peugeot for the ride.🚴‍♂️ Took wife to Dentist, and got nap in.

My 1/4” steel came early. Got a good start on the Craftsman frame repair in between showers.
4 plates, 2 1/2x 4, 4 3/8” bolts per side. 1plate each side of frame, sandwiching break.

This shows the back plates in place. Need to get the frame properly aligned. Have an idea I will try tomorrow.

As suspected I didn’t have the appropriate nuts and bolts, only have 1” and I need 1 1/2”. Guess will be making trip to HD tomorrow.

Nope, nothing that exciting. Just Sophie mowing our rural acreage. Probably a combination of speed and roughness. I tease her that she is hard on her stuff.

This appears to be a known weakness.
