we ought to have a little contest here...what was the worst thing you ever ate and didn't spit out with a snowblower?

A frozen doormat....stopped the 73" blower cold...first time I ever had to replace a shear pin.
Mat was wrapped all around the auger and was a bear to remove

5 of snow and big flakes coming down. A winter wonderland.

Walked to the road, it is covered. Got a text that church service is still on, as most will watch remote. Except I知 the one who gives them the remote, and I responded I won稚 be there. But, I can log in remote and start it, except I can稚 flip the song slides in time, since I get a 10-15 sec delay.

Now you know what I like about the scenery right after a snow storm. It looks pure.

Or maybe the worst thing you hit with your blade. Time to fess up and give the rest of us inspiration!

Buppies, I was planting potatoes the last few years on March 1. Am having a hard time being patient this year

Or how about a contest to see who is "happiest" that .. they don't NEED to own a snowblower?

Coffee is done brewing. 3° with mostly partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 14° partly cloudy skies. Got over 1" of snow overnight. Will clean that up when sun comes out. Got 3 computers switched out. Was starting to feel like a plumber while working under the 2 desks. But pipes to wrench on. Did try one last time to get Window 7 machine running. No luck. Took HD out and put computer and monitor on to be recycled pile. No plans for today. Will look for a couple of movies. I do not watch NFL. NASCAR starts this coming week.

Randy, the price was first thing that caught my eye when I first saw the ad.

Drew, take care working in the snow.

Buppies, March! That's next month.

Looking, be careful in the snow. $80 snow plow lesson.

RNG, glad trip is going good. Did you wave to Viking on the way by his place.

Don, court house looks like a total loss. I like park pictures.

Rick, good to hear groundbreaking was yesterday. Any reports on glass door replacement.

Wngsprd, hope your arm feel better and battery gets charged.

LS, cabinet looks great.

Rich, port matching. Brings back old memories from my go-kart, snowmobile and motorcycle days.

DFT, sounds like you are prepared for Kansas. Stay safe, dry and warm.

Ken, good Dad and GF got shots.

Prayers and best wishes for everyone.

Good Morning All.

Ron .. I wussed out on the door glass install and took the tractor to the dealer. The glass alone is about 45# so .. once you hang the hinges, pull bar, door latch, etc. it was going to be an unwieldy chore trying to install it from a ladder .. on my own. Hanging my head .. in TBN shame.

I had an occasional alarm, when starting, that would come and go so .. needed to have that checked out as well.

I feel the same way...that's one of the nice things about living in a rural area...

But then the early Gravely snow blowers were distressingly known as "dog-eaters"
I still have a Gravely with that snowblower attachment. I don’t really use it any more, but absolutely nothing stops it. I’ve had many Gravelys over the past years from the early one with Gravely’s own engine and a pull strap to start to the present one which was born with a Kohler engine , that I adapted a 13hp Honda to.

So far almost 5” of snow in the last 3 hours.

I have a question for you Texas guys... anyone know any details about "The ranches at Woodland Ridge" ? It is outside of Walnut Springs and Glenrose Tx. They mention paved streets, power and internet, but don't say anything about water. Is there good ground water / wells in that area?

Not a bad price for 5 acres and a dried in "barndominium".... $99K

I / we are seriously considering finding a place like that. If anyone has any suggestions or recommendations, they would be greatly appreciated!

here's another near Hamilton

"using it to cha ching the filter on my shop vac,"

I see what you did there.

Second only to cleaning radiators .. IMHO .. is cleaning air filters, vac filters, etc. The 90ー end is invaluable.

I've still not figured out how to not get filthy blowing out air filters .. regardless of wind direction.

you have to hook the positive cable to your wet tennis shoes while standing in a puddle and the negative to the........LOL....Just kidding.....cha ching!

Stiff back today. Just took ibuprofen. I got out and showed my young family how to play tennis. another LOL. Actually, I hit some decent cross court top spin forehands and serves.... Paying for it today.

I have an air rifle too, a low cost Crossman 1000X .177 caliber pellet. It's reasonable accurate out to 25 yards/meters. Hit an area the size of a baseball typically.

Another subject....As parents, we are doing our best to help our kids pick good friends. We see the side effects of overlooking some things now. As a very poor kid, I got to do a lot of bucketlist things, because my friends' parents invited me along.

Good morning to all! Low of 29, going up to low 50's today..... but.... the wind will be coming back this afternoon and through tomorrow :(
Then a progressive cool down throughout the week until highs will be only around freezing.

Beautiful winter snow pics... hope you guys don't get too much. You can always divert it this way.... we are still in exceptional drought situation. I might run the drip / water the plants today being it will be warm enough. I am pretty sure a few of the new plants around the pond area did not survive these dry winds. Maybe they will surprise me come spring....

Hopefully the new knee will allow me to get some work done during the late summer.... planning already to do some form of wind break...

Worst snowblower incident was wrapping a 25' extension cord around the auger.... it was used to plug in my diesel work truck at the time. I decided to clear an infrequently used walkway.... forgot that I had the cord halfway coiled up... I sacrificed it by cutting into little pieces to get it out. Other than that, usually catching a rock and breaking shear pins, until 2 years ago when a rock locked up the auger and exploded the gearbox.... don't have a snowblower now....

Everyone have a great day! Enjoy the game!

Thanks for the link Kyle. I have looked at their site already. Seems to be one of the larger developers of projects like that. Hopefully by summer I'll be up and about enough to do some traveling to go see them in person.
