Good morning!!!!

   / Good morning!!!! #127,081
I’m on Eliquis and I get the burst blood vessels in my eyes occasionally, but I got them long before the blood thinners.
39 out now after a high of 55, several degrees warmer than expected.
We have a winter weather watch out for Sunday, but honestly if I were betting, I’d say we are below the rain/snow line and in for heavy rain.
I didn’t have enough 12\3 cable to run power to Ellen’s building for the lights, so I’ve got to get that. Got to pickup a 4 gang switch box and three receptacles and a switch. I have plenty of two gang receptacles for the rest of the building. Worst job is trenching in the cable, but I think I have a rig for the three point hitch that will work.
A friend of mine lives about half a mile from me and has a shooting range in his back property. He’s Mitzi Perdue’s son and when Ellen went into the office yesterday she told him about my new weapons and he invited me over to shoot. So I took the 30.06,mom’s old Remington .22 bolt action, and my 10-22 over there this afternoon. He was shooting his AR-15, I shot about 50 rounds of .22 and 3 rounds of 30.06. I forgot what kind of kick a 30.06 can have. Fun time though. Carlos is a good guy and let me shoot his rifle. Now I need an AR.

I like it.
...
I do like the thunder and rain notifications. The humidity and Temp are very accurate. The 10 day forecast is very accurate along with the wind direction and speed real time and predictions.
Probably the best weather station I ever owned.

You do need a UPS because if the power goes off during a storm you will stop gathering data.
...
Thanks Don.
The notifications could be interesting.

If I were to lose power during a storm, I’d have MORE data to process

I’ve had the Davis Vantage pro for a long time, I’m intrigued by the Tempest though. Has any one made the switch?

I’m on my 2nd Vantage Pro, beginning to get flakey, so I’m interested, but still hesitant.

We got about 5" today and another 4 or so coming tonight. The snow squall 'watch' has turned into a 'warning'.
6:43 PM EST Friday 05 February 2021
Snow squall warning in effect for:

North Bay - Powassan - Mattawa
West Nipissing - French River

Snow squalls are expected. Under the snow squall bands, visibilities will be significantly reduced due to the heavy snow combined with blowing snow, and snow will quickly accumulate.

Snow squalls will persist this evening and continue through to Saturday morning.

Local snowfall accumulations of 10 to 15 cm ( 4 to 6") are expected in these snow squalls.

The combination of strong and gusty winds reaching up to 60 km/h (35 mph) and heavy snow at times will result in a significant reduction in visibility in local blowing snow.

Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Visibility will be suddenly reduced to near zero at times in heavy snow and blowing snow. If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance. Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve.

Snow squall warnings are issued when bands of snow form that produce intense accumulating snow or near zero visibility.

I see bear steaks, roasts and jerky on the hoof for now. Is there any way you can knock off the big one right beside your freezer?:D

Mostly, no afib issue here. Basically, Sophie and I are basically healthy other than her disability and my being overweight. Other than daily aspirin, no medication regimen.

Good morning, The temperature is 15°F and the high will be 16. Wind SW 7 mph. Snow squall warning still in effect.

From what I could see out the kitchen window, we got another 6" or so. Will definitely get some seat time today.

That is about 'it' for today. Plow.

Have a safe day all

good Saturday morning all.
May at least a few of you be sleeping in...

25 out now going up to 43, looks like a nice day but that is changing by dinner time as another
snow system comes through into tomorrow, 5 to 7 inches of snow predicted.

started doing paperwork yesterday and stopped, realized I needed more file folders and hanging files, so off to Staples this morning to
pick up some supplies. Might see if I can find some more snow melt also, that stuff runs out pretty quickly. Found the Safe Paws type really
doesn't work all that well. Reminds me of organic fruit sprays, you pay twice as much as regular and it works half as well.

I feel fine this morning, zero soreness in arm. Might treat myself to some bacon this morning. Haven't had any in many months. Most of what I cook
I put away and use as flavoring in other foods. I've been sticking with vegan sausage lately but maybe it's time to make the house smell nice.
My stove doesn't have an outside exhaust so I have to run the bathroom exhaust vent, which thankfully is right off the kitchen, to get the smell out.
The first time my bedroom smelled like cooked salmon I learned that lesson.

for most of us...waking up to the smell of bacon cooking and cup of coffee put in our hands as we stumble into the kitchen, well that's all good.

I haven't tried "fake" bacon yet. Is it any good? I try to avoid all processed meats any more, nothing with nitrites or nitrates.

Poured first cup of hot coffee. 13° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 21° with clouds and wind. Got drive and walkways cleared yesterday. Did neighbors while I was out. He was having surgery yesterday. Got last of computer setup done. Amazon delivered new monitor and other items. Will spend today moving 3 computers around. 1 is a old windows 7 that stopped working a few years ago. That should be enough for the day.
Michigan Covid cases 619,499. Deaths 15,750. Oakland county cases 71,677. Deaths 1,916. Case numbers for the state have drop down to less 1,300 per day. Deaths are less than 20 each day. Over 10 million test have been given in state. Oakland county has tested over 1.1 million.
