Hot cup of coffee has been poured. 14° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 29° with partly cloudy skies. Conserving energy yesterday is going to help with todays outside project. Back to neighbors with my tractor helping with clearing out scrub shrubs.
then back in to get warmed up.
Michigan Covid cases 594,520. Deaths 14,951. Oakland county cases 68,795. Deaths, 1,836. Total test are now at 9.6 million for state. Test in Oakland county are just over 1 million. Many people have had more than 2 test. Wayne county (Detroit is in it) has told it's citizens to use the same APP/Portal I used to get my Vaccine appointment. Instead of using the county health department web site. :confused3:

RS, hot sauce of any type was something I liked. Not any more. Gives me a upset stomach.

Phil, I do not think the chain for wife will work very well on a tire. Looks nice though.

Buckeye, hope you are not going to get Covid.

Don, my GD and GGD have been sick for a few days. Got tested. Both negative. Went to Dr. Both have ear infection. Getting treatment. Every time I get a cough or any possible Covid symptom I start worrying. But have not been tested yet. Your sight must be a lot better than mine. I make mistakes on my 10" I pad all the time.

Mostly, I have done the wrong date and time in iPhone Calendar. It does not always put appointment in correct date.

Rick, good your wife got Vaccine appointment.

RNG, when container is full of wood. How long will it last?

Popgadget, feels good when all problems get solved at end of day.

Everyone stay Healthy and safe.

Good Morning All.

Someone in Michigan won the Mega Millions Jackpot. But it was not me. I forgot to buy a ticket. :ashamed:

gosh Ron, and I thought I'd be getting my new tractor soon...
good morning all, may your day be peaceful.

Phil, I think it would be pretty funny to come down and find your home made chains
on your tractor. Sure would be pretty. That's quite a talent you have.

possible snow flurries this morning and then sunshine, snow flurries next week from Tuesday through Thursday.

bought some apples at local orchard yesterday, still crisp and juicy unlike apples at store.
think I'll make another apple cranberry crisp; this time remembering to put the cranberries in with the apples.
Last time I forgot, sprinkled them on top too late, wound up with unsightly burned cranberries. Still tasted good but
I wasn't taking a picture of that mess. Actually think I'll make cupcakes out of the mix, easier to give them away

Good Morning
It’s 25 with a forecast high of 30 and clear skies.

Have to go to the restaurant this morning, there’s a refrigerated prep station that isn’t cooling. Hopefully it’s an easy fix.
When that’s done a friend is coming over to bend up some steel bars into a u shape for a bicycle rack he is making for his son’s bike shop.

All the English muffin talk here made me realize it’s been quite a while since I had one. I added them to the shopping list, and now on today’s breakfast menu.

I’ve got a 6x12 enclosed trailer parked out back, without a paved path to it, daughter wants to use it, so if the ground is frozen hard enough, I’ll pull that out today, hopefully without making a mess.

No word on vaccination.

14 right now, and according to Weather Underground, that is the high for today! My, my!

Chores: Dump run and clearing snow off the drive and walks...back deck too, come to think of it. Thinking about hitting the road too...last snow, the township got to it before I did, but it's pretty narrow. I'm probably going to make two passes to widen the road.

Doctor's appointment went OK...just a follow-up as I'd written yesterday

22 and clear going to 41. Had to run off a raccoon twice before taking Coco for a walk at 5am.

BEF, sure hope you didn't get exposed. Did you ever find out for sure if you can get vaccinated?

Ron, nice titmouse pic.

David, good planning and record keeping...I've done something similar, but not as diligent about keeping it updated.

Took a rest day yesterday so drove up to finish the barn quilt "tour." We've gone 4 different times, and I think I now know that county better than I know my own. There would never have been a reason to go to some of the very remote spots we've been unless hunting for a barn quilt. We've seen some beautiful homes, barns, and countryside. Stopped at a winery on the way home and sat on their pergola in Adirondack chairs gazing at the mountains in the sun...felt good. Didn't have time left to go for a hike

Apparently, Microsoft was playing on my laptop last night and downloaded an update. Has anyone used the new Password Generator feature of Edge? Most of the time their new features don't fit me, but a couple of the other new features interest me, too, this time.

I tried Edge. Did not like it. Went back to Chrome. I use Dashlane for passwords. Works on Chrome and iPhone apps.

Morning all!
I'm up way to early today! Arthritis pains from working.
Looks like we are in the high teens this morning. Going to be a cold week with low teens at night and just hovering around the freezing mark during the day.
Speaking of chains. I removed the concrete busting cross chains on mine and added some regular 5/16 links I picked up at Tractor supply. It is slow going with a hammer and chisel and some pry bars but I am getting it done.

I got one set almost done before my hands and back gave out. I want to add links connecting the rows.
After a little rest I made my wife a chain also:

Will take the weekend off and go back to the tractor Monday.
Hope everyone stays safe and healthy!

If anything you should get smooth ride.
Set I have ice bars and one heck of bouncing ride, but very traction only needed 4wd once this winter so far.
