Good morning.
It’s 33 here and not going past the upper 30’s. Weak front blew through here with some wind, but no snow showers. Clear skies for the rest of the day.

Yesterday didn’t follow the plan at all. Got a call from my friend the HVAC contractor, so I helped him install a couple of electric duct heaters for a recent geothermal install. I did the electrical work, running a 100 amp feed from the service panel, installing a sub panel and breakers, and the low voltage wiring. He did the sheet metal and physical installation. Fine with me, I have a hard time doing sheet metal work without bleeding. The funny thing is that they were totally unnecessary, the geo performance is the same regardless of outside temp. But the homeowner was focused on “heat pumps need backup heat” in our climate, which is correct for an air to air heat pump.

Both wife and daughter now have their vaccinations. Wife got Pfizer, daughter got Moderna. Both complained of sore arms.

Ron, sorry to hear about your furnace nightmare. How did they get back to a new furnace from the board that was supposedly ordered last week? You definitely have more patience than I do.

Drew, I don’t think that there is a great snow removal solution for a stone driveway like yours. Maybe ignore it and drive back and forth to pack it down.

Today will likely find me working on the speaker, although windsock is still essentially a batch or streamers that make the wind look stronger than it is, Lane is covered with sticks and debris that’s blown out of the trees, and a little bit of turf that I relocated with the snow blade.
And there is always cleaning and putting “stuff” away in the shop.

Second "GM" post this morning...
Temperature is down to 24...

No changes from my earlier post (at ~0240)...went back to bed about 0320...dog was on the bed shortly afterward want under the blankets....soon enough, she had her head on my pillow. Bella's not unique in doing this...we had a Boxer when I was a kid (Princess) and she'd do the same...but on my sister's bed. My father and I (I was around 13 or so) always checked the house before we left for work (he and I worked at my great-Uncle's icehouse (yes...a real icehouse selling anything between 25 lb. bags of cubes or crushed ice up to 300# cakes (mostly commercial sales for the cakes).
Anyway, we stuck our heads in my sisters' room and there was Princess, head on the pillow, sister almost off her bed...until, thump...off the bed. This was around 1963...
One funny thing about getting old...one can remember stuff from 50 years ago...but can't recall what we did yesterday...

Ain't that the truth.

Our grocery store chain, H-E-B (rated the best in the country),

We have a couple of chains here that are top notch, Super Giant and Acme, but in wondering who rates grocery stores anyway, I find it difficult to believe anyone is better than Harris Teeter, but you’d better bring your pocketbook.

My wife can give a list of twenty things to get from the store before I go out. When I get home, I can still recite the list, but I forgot to go to the store.

Try a Wegman's. I like 'em better than H-T.

30-41 today with bright sunshine so far, and a bit of a NW breeze.
Seat time yesterday, got the driveway dressed and looking good, repaired a low spot caused by the mail truck and all this rain, wasn’t bad and I didn’t want it to get bad.
Tried to start my Cub Cadet 1864 with the spraying rig, but no luck, battery will not charge at all, I don’t understand why, it’s only 12 1/2 years old.

Rich sounds like you’re on the way back to normal.

I have a 16’x120’ clam shell driveway with two turnouts, when it snows I don’t try to scrape it clean, go down to an inch or two. I can easily drive over that and it doesn’t damage the driveway.

Have a good day all.
