Good morning!!!!

I've read that early in the pandemic, anyone that tested positive for CoVid-19 when they died was added to the CoVid-19 death toll, even though the disease might not have been the cause. Hard to justify doing that in cases of accidental drowning, auto accidents, and such, but there it is. I think I heard on last night's news that the daily death rate nationwide is in the thousands, and with three weeks left in 2020, this years total count could still exceed previous years.

The current death toll in the US is 282,436 as of this post, per the John Hopkins COVID dashboard:

a lot of folks dying when otherwise they would have still been here enjoying life.
a lot of folks who are obese and/or morbidly unhealthy that are not going to make it and will
be attributed to Sars Covid if they possibly can be, so labeled when they make the final trip
to the hospital.
We just have to make it until next June. That's when I think enough folks will have been vaccinated that with ongoing
precautions it will be safe for us to mingle in public. And in restaurants, many of which are now going under.

My friends who own a coffee business selling to offices and business owners, are a real leading indicator. Their business has dropped again as businesses are either being extra careful
or every one is home quarantineing. And mostly working from home where folks have their own coffee pot.

still haven't made it to lumberyard, handyman here moving a door for me. Sun is out but very chilly out.

That tube is not from the Illinois Department of Health - it's from some rando guy ... with 39 subscribers to his YouTube channel ...

About that Minnesota Senator ...

Are CDC Guidelines for Reporting COVID-19 Deaths Artificially Inflating Numbers?

Again, this tube is not actually from the CDC or C-SPAN - it's from "Thrivetime Show: Business School without the BS" ...

Pretty safe bet that the folks over at Thrivetime are pushing their own agenda - which judging from the rest of the offerings on their channel - contains a pretty serious rightwing tilt ...

Social Media Posts Make Baseless Claim on COVID-19 Death Toll

Uh-huh ...

See the Snopes and other articles linked above ...

Seems everyone is pushing his own agenda.

It’s been snowing lightly all afternoon, but it’s extremely light. Been too cold to work outside, garage heater needs a new regulator and the tractor shed is not heated, so I’m binge watching Yellowstone.

nice trip up to Tinsmas Bros to get cedar boards, 12 inchers this time, and the wood looked really nice.
Nothing like buying lumber in Lumberville...
They cut 12 footers in half for me, using a very sharp Japanese hand saw, so it would all fit in my car.
And then home I came and built another bird house. Three more to go.
Actually I think the 12 inch wide boards will work best for me because many of the boards I cut are 5 1/2 to 6 inches wide.
Band saw will do a nice job sawing them to size after mitre saw cuts them to length.

Bought a lot of food to stock up at supermarket today, lots of apples I need to cut up and make something with, without a lot of sugar added.

Tomorrow I have to be at hospital first thing for walk in blood labs, more review of hormones, and then home to build another bird house.
And then...maybe an apple pie or apple cranberry something. Maybe even apple, mango and cranberry something.

parts of my wahl beard trimmer did not make the move successfully, so had to order another one, this one an inexpensive but well rated brand from Austria, and no mention of China
on the box. Charging up now, soon to be slightly less scruffy. Nice to have some hair back on my head...

Longer morning than expected.
Truck serviced, even got new Safety inspection. A month early, but saves making a special trip.

Spent more money than planned at HD, like that’s to be expected I guess.

Decided to get a Baskin Robbins before coming home for lunch
