28 and sunny going to 54.

Don, nice job on those trails/picnic areas.

Eric, no experience with golf carts...always walked the course the few times I played. Good luck, but I like the old Subie.

Cleaned up the landscape cloth from the garden yesterday...BEF, the green striped kind...5 ft wide strips...had to let them dry, sweep off dirt and mud, and then roll up...they'll give at least another year...look to be in great shape, plus already have the holes that I cut for the plants...hope my wife will decide to plant the same things, although I'll "rotate" them across the garden next spring.

Usually those quotes have a disclaimer in them that they are just an estimate and that the final cost may be higher or lower then the quote.

It did not. I did all the work. Digging out the pipe and everything else. All he did was run his snake in line. After he checked with person that did quote. He changed his price. By then the damage had been done.

23 heading to 40’s with clear skies here today.

Cars are all inspected and oil changed, not sure what today’s tasks will be. Probably clean the sticks and twigs off the driveway from the previous windy days. Fallen limbs were already cleaned up to make it passable. It’s nice having a tree lined lane, but.....

I use a Club Car Carryall that works well, it’s gas powered and has traction tires on the rear wheels. It can pull a trailer up a hill without complaining. My son has a Toro Workman, which is heavier duty, and has a powered dump bed, but I don’t think that it is as good on hills. It also drives like a truck by comparison.

Good Morning!!!! 46F @ 4:45AM. Sunshine to start, then a few afternoon clouds. High 62F. Winds NNW at 10 to 15 mph.
Picked up another quarter inch of rain yesterday, and a little hail as well, mostly due to a pretty robust thunderstorm that drifted over in the afternoon. Still no more rain in the 10-day.

When I ask for a quote, I try to get them to make it firm fixed price. That way there's no arguing at the end if they try to raise it. At least there shouldn't be, but the guy that poured the driveway still tried. Didn't work. Along with common sense, personal integrity is in short supply these days.

Still happy with the Kubota RTV900 after all these years, Eric, and it does steep hills every day. They slow it down, but the only time it stops is when the ground is loose or slippery and the tires lose traction.

I seem to get a different story every time I call HughesNet to complain about slow internet speed or not working at all, Paul. Another reason to move on to better technology if I can. But ever since the dawn of the internet, ISPs always over subscribe their capacity, and within a year or two the service slows down again.

Need to run into town for groceries today. Think I'll try to go early and maybe avoid the crowds I keep hearing about. Nor sure what I'll get into after that, but it's an opportunity rich environment...

24 early with lots of ice, 53 later.

I’ve been trying to get my wife to retire for some time, she’s a senior accounts coordinator for Perdue, she’s been there 41 years, but she’s only 62 and has boundless energy.

We have a meeting later with financial planner, not sure what to do with our separate retirement funds.
I’m in favor of heavily investing in classic cars!

If the gas bottles aren’t empty I might work on the El Camino, saw some boards for another project. I need some 4x4’s but I’m hoping the prices get better someday. I also have to get another 4 tons of Texas white stone. Better go call the gas company and get busy.

Bless us all. Have a good day.

Good morning! 35 now supposed to go to 60 later. Not bad for mid-November in Ohio.

Yea Don, Ohio has decided we have a vampire virus, it only comes out at night so best to be kept inside while the virus is out looking for victims :banghead: You can稚 make this stuff up. Our local health department head announced she is positive for the virus. The local county, Tuscarawas, is on verge of being 菟romoted to purple on the state map. That is a bad thing. But starting yesterday, working from home again. That is a good thing!

Over the weekend, had a few logs that have been stock piled for a while. Figured it was time to cut and move them. Must not be very good at estimating how much was in that pile, trailer is completely full and have several more to cut up. It was a slow decent off that hill, quite a load on the trailer. The NH handled it but still took it slow.

Didn稚 have any issues with power or damage from the Sunday windstorm, but lots of issues in other areas.

If you think paper products are an issue, try to find an upright freezer......seems there is a compressor shortage

Everyone stay safe out there

When I ask for a quote, I try to get them to make it firm fixed price.

I know they are generally referred to as an "estimate" but I started quoting prices when I was a kid mowing yards, and many years later, doing the "estimates" in my brothers' tire shop and garage in Anchorage. And in all my days the final price was NEVER going to be more than my quoted estimate, even if I lost money.

Good morning, 22 going up to 49 and full frost, white roof this morning, just frost .Wunderground again says low of 39, current 22 :confused2:

Worked day job dark to dark - no fun.
Mostly - All our Ash are dead from Emerald Ash borer- I have at least a dozen 80 feet or more tall still left after removing more than half a dozen. I have lots of firewood. Estimate is that about a million trees will be killed by this invasive species.
M7040 - sorry to hear about the tick-never feel them unless they are moving into position-hope no Lyme for you
Good work TXDon - that whole are looks like it's certainly worth a visit
Buppies - hope coworker is negative
Ron - sorry about your septic guy - bad business practices usually get around and bite back

Stay safe and be well - to NYC tomorrow - today shows little traffic, so weird

productive morning, took my 15% discount coupon from Hope Depot welcoming me to my new home in for a few items.
Speaking of hauling things, I really miss my golf cart. After making ten trips out with trash for the garbage man, almost all amazon boxes, I reminded myself
to get a garden cart to haul things in, like I had several of before. So tomorrow I will build that when things warm up. Also picked up a xmas tree stand and a multicolor
poinsettia. In and out quickly, though as most places today, never enough checkers working. They want you to use self checkout, which sure didn't work for me with a 50+ pound box
with the cart in it.

and speaking of things not working...went to Giant supermarket to pick up a few things, and treated myself to two apple fritters. They seemed awfully light when I put them in the bag.
And light they were...whoever made them forgot to put the apple filling in them. They were just sugary dough pockets, yuk. I called the store manager and explained she might want to pull the rest of them out of there before she disappointed anyone else, and no I didn't want my 1.70 back. She was very appreciative and said she would check them out asap.
I am reminded of the wonderful McDonald's commercial Where's The Beef? ;)

time to get to work on the paperwork and filing cabinet.
I've always been a piler and not a filer, so this is not fun for me.
