Good morning from SC. It's warming back up here 70 this morning.
Maybe we can invent a way to use them
We collect a 3 or 4 buckets full and use a hand full to start fires in the fireplace. They work pretty good.
"then napped only .5 hour today"
Mostly, I hesitate to make a short sleep suggestion to a master napper, but I can't help thinking you are missing out by napping in decimals. Far more refreshing to take 30 entire minutes than that measly 0.5 hour![]()

Pinecones are excellent fire starters. In the 2016 Saddle Fire, cones from flaming roadside pines dropped from the trees, rolled off the shoulder, and set the opposite side of the canyon on fire. By nightfall, the fire had spotted across to my side, and a pair of firemen and their engine and I sat up all night waiting for a firefight that never came. A bench of bare rock below my home stopped them before they got to us.![]()
