Ted, I’d expect you could finesse those ditches with your little backhoe , taking your time.

No, unfortunately, the bucket is way too big for just a 1/2" irrigation Line.... just trenching to below the stone (about 6" deep), so a pick and shovel will work.

Today I used some muscles that have not been active for a while.... I can't let Ken get all buff and muscular.... got the entire trench for the irrigation line dug, pipe installed, and stone re-raked over. All hooked up and a drink given to that landscaping bed.

I could only go about 10' on the trench before I had to take a break to give the back and knee a rest.... utilized the time to finish up the cutting and welding of the cart. Back and forth between the two until both got done... YIPPEE!

So, at least I feel like I accomplished something today.... until I wake up tomorrow....

I will get the cart painted and finished tomorrow for sure! Here are a couple pics...

Oh, and I have a Pulaski tool... one of the greatest wildland firefighting tools.... works great for trenches...

For some reason, every now and then, I like frying burgers with all the seasoning. They have a different flavor / texture...

69F and a steady medium rain ... will likely be pouring buckets in a few minutes if the radar is any indication ...

Made the run to the pet store and picked up dry cat food, Temptations treats, cat grass, and a couple of catnip toys.

After that I headed up to Menards in the Falls to pick up the 80 cap stones, could only find 76, so that's what I came home with.

Stopped at Kreigers Market on the way there and grabbed three different kinds of Ohio Amish grown tomatoes ... so we're set for even more BLT's after tonight ...

Hit a torrential downpour about half the way home and it persisted until I was within a mile of the house.

Got here and it didn't look like it had rained much more if any.

The weather station to the south is showing 1.75" ...

That station a couple miles north of the house that I mentioned earlier that was showing a 1.85" total ... it's now sitting at 3.39" ...

Good evening all. 70F for the start, partly cloudy sky, calm wind. Wind picked up to moderate then backed off, sky became clear, and high temp was 102F, feels like 111F. Bike ride first thing, still had cold air in low spots when stating out, walk with wife, hand water several area that don't get enough water from irrigation system. Work on Peugeot, got handle bars on, brake cable and housing run, and chain on Volagi lubed and brakes adjusted. Alas no nap :(
