Good morning!!!!

It's been so long since I tried Dinty Moore that I'd forgotten about it. The only GOOD thing I could say for it is that it was better than Spaghetti O's.

We had a relatively cool, and partly cloudy, low humidity day yesterday so I got the yard mowed a couple of days earlier than planned. And I'm sure glad I did that, since the weather forecast is fork sunny weather with the temperatures in the upper 90s, if not 100, for the foreseeable future.

Morning all-o-Y'all....
<snip>

I started a new and seems to be AWESOME job here on Memorial Day, and it is rocking. Great people. If COVID would just go away, OMG my work life would be AWESOME!!!

July 2nd I listed for sale my large (5,000+ sqft) home and it sold for almost full price. Closes end of Sept. I still have one rental out by Lake Anna, and I'm gonna hold onto it for now.

Last night my Best buddy who is a commercial real estate developer/investor made me an offer I'm not sure I can pass up... Seems he has flipped an acreage property into a small 9 lot high end subdivision, and left behind an all brick colonial with a massive pool on like 19.9 heavily trees acres surrounded by civilization and probably over 30 minutes closer to the Beltway & DC where I work. It needs upgrades for kitchen & bath & the huge gunnite pool resurfaced, but it needs WAY LESS than my current house...

So now I'm thinking pretty darn hard about selling my Beloved Mossflower Woods (I'm gonna keep the name though) and slightly downsizing and moving closer to work & things like FIOS (OMG real Internet!!!).

<snip>
Unless your 51 acres is a financial drain you might want to keep it for a while and let it appreciate. Still move closer in. They are not making much more land in Virginia and everyone is looking for more social distancing. And "real internet" is being pushed to rural areas quickly.

May wanna tie things down again. T-storm may be about to hit.

Yep, had to put the awning in, we got the tail end of some pop ups, glad we didn’t get it all, .95” in 45 minutes and gusty winds. That’s 2.26” since yesterday around 4:30, and about 3.8” since Tuesday.
I need to put the deck on the submarine so I can mow the grass.

Morning all-o-Y'all....

On the ZTR I'm 99% decided on a Gravely 60", my former Kioti guy now sells them & he's got 0%...

On bigger things though I'm at a tilting point and I've got many, many thoughts on my mind...

10 years ago this past week, I bought this 51 acre place as my 3rd home. I moved here in March of 11 and chaos ensued for some years, y'all were kinda clued in on that at the time...

Just the end of July my 2nd Ex & I basically (barring any emergency, or my daughter deciding she wants it to change) settled everything out for final, just waiting for the inked docs from he court. Been a brutal battle since March of 2013...

Mid-June just past my new wife and I had our first real fight & while I was driving my daughter back to her mom's (I was gone for 70-15 minutes max) she took the dog, all her work from home computers & etc. and left. She left behind her wedding rings... June 30th she officially moved out and we will be divorced before the end of 2020...

He and his wife kind of took the position that maybe this was a good time to consider a Fresh Start... They might be onto something.

I know my New Ex is already dating, and I've got my first real date myself tonight...

What a CRAZY world this is... Good Gravy...

I think I'm just gonna go buy that lawnmower today... What the heck...

Be well all of you fabulous people.
David

Wow! I’ve known you on the forum for about ten years and you’ve been getting divorced for most of them. One piece of advice, don’t fall in love tonight! LOL
I’m just teasing, I’m sorry you’ve had to deal with all this. Enjoy the new mower.

My lawyer and all my friends have been telling me NO MORE MARRIAGES!!!

One of them even said to stop being the nice guy, and ordered me to date multiple ladies at the same time, LOL...

Nope the only woman with any hint of control on my life now is 11.5 and adorable...

Thanks Randy.
Be well,
David

Good morning to all! Same old weather, nice and cool in the morning, hot by afternoon, no rain. It has been threatening, but all the storms go east or south. Maybe today....

Yesterday was a real pain dealing with electronic (computer) issues. The wifey's tablet would not open a single app.... always the same warning... not enough memory. WHAT? The system (OS) was only using around 35% of the memory. The apps, photos, and such maybe another 10%. Then there was "other storage" eating up the rest of the memory! What the heck is "other storage"? After hours of trying to fix the issue, we had to clean sweep / erase the Entire OS, reload, and of course, get everything back to operate properly. Finished up around 4 pm. Glad that is over. Too much mental over load!

Today, I am not going to think about anything! I will run a few errands, then maybe just kill some weeds with the trimmer.

Drew, glad you didn't have any trouble with the storm and another treatment successful! Keep moving forward!

Good to hear that everyone made it through the storm unscathed. Lots of damage over a wide area.

Eric, those fields are beautiful! I cannot see the attraction from one or the other.... do the sheep just get to thinking the grass is greener on the other side of the fence?

Gonna get started.... everyone have a great day!

David/mfw: take it slow friend. Decisions made during emotional times aren't always the best. Had three wives, two were great, second one was a bounce in less than a year and a very bad decision. Third wife we lived together for three years before getting married, and that sure helped. First wife still good friend. Sometimes the grass is not greener at a new place...and sorry for the heartache you have been through. Been there, done that...

successful morning. Topped off the diesel tank after adding PowerService additive. Then got propane, quick and simple, 8.4 gallons into a 30 gallon tank, so I guess the electronic gauge saying 2/3 full was accurate after all and I was worried about nothing. Going to use propane cook top tonight for first time, power/gas to the people!

ordered a big Food Lion/instacart order and that should be here in an hour or so. Hope they find the rv ok. Had to put "no smoking in car" after last episode where Cheech and Chong delivered and everything reeked of smoke. I complained, got a prompt apology from Instacart, and a 5 dollar credit on this order.
Was feeling a little worn out after putting the rv back together and didn't feel like food shopping. On a 80 dollar order it adds about ten bucks, today it was worth it.
And no more Dinty Moore, I promise.

Don, great idea on the soup, thanks!
I had an order going into Amazon and added: Amazon.com : Dr. McDougall's Right Foods Vegan Black Bean & Lime Soup, 3.4 Ounce Cups (Pack of 6) Gluten-Free, Non-GMO, No Added Oil, Paper Cups From Certified Sustainably-Managed Forests : Packaged Vegetable Soups : Grocery & Gourmet Food

I don't want to take anything for granted and appreciate the kind support from my friends here.

I wonder what comes in a can that is healthy?

We keep a couple of cans of Progresso soup in the cupboard for when we don't want to cook but I'm not sure how healthy it is.

Chris

Progresso offers a low sodium version of many of their soups, so I try to purchase those. But not all flavors, and I can hardly say no to their clam chowder...

56°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 78° today.

Got home from work yesterday to find a dozer parked in the side yard. Wife said the contractor dropped it off yesterday, and was waiting for the joint utilities people to come out and mark the water line before getting into the regrading of the front yard, and using that dirt to finish the back side of the pond. The end of this nightmare project may actually be on the horizon now.

Tried to take a short nap after I got home, but one of the cats decided to be all lovey-dovey instead. She's not usually that affectionate, so I didn't mind too much. Stayed up too late the night before, puttering in the studio. I'd actually been doing that for a few days, and it finally caught up with me.

Ended up topping off the tires and taking a short bike ride after feeding all the fuzzy butts. Did the "around the block" ride again, which is 4.1 miles. I didn't feel too bad afterwards, considering it's been five weeks since I last rode. Not too bad for an old fat guy. 72° and the sun was just starting to set as I got back home. It was a great evening for a ride, and I quite enjoyed it.

Not sure I'd call that a "glitch," K5lwq. BoA seems to be having a lot of issues lately. Glad I'm not involved with them. Hope yours gets resolved quickly.

Eric, that is quite the glare from your sheep. Not sure I've ever seen sheep look so ... determined.

Crazy life, indeed, David MFW. You seem to be taking it in stride. Good for you. Seems the "one-door-closes-" effect is fully in play for you. Sounds like you have options. Enjoy your new mower.
