70 to 90, and dry, other than dew.

Rick, we didn't get our 20% chance of rain, either...I guess it takes 5 days of 20% to add up to a shower?

Kyle, I like your philosophy today.

RS, we just scatter mealworms on our open porch, letting some go under a raised bourbon barrel flower planter because the Carolina wrens love to hunt in tight places...if the lizards and skinks leave them any. I occasionally put some out for the bluebirds, but they seem less interested in them, with so many insects to catch that are fresh.

Wind picked up early, so didn't spray yesterday and did a 3.6 mile hike instead. Then took Coco on a quarter mile hike, about the most she can do right now. Then did some paperwork for my MIL.

We had a skunk visit our front yard yesterday about 3am...haven't seen or smelled one in a while so thought we were in the clear. He's not living where they were last winter, because the foxes moved back in that den. Hope it was just passing through on the way to the highway a mile or so away (preferably downwind) :)).

70 heading up to.....90's again today. The rain dances all around us.

Got the power company coming out today, hoping they will bury some lines for us. The trees around the house keep taking out the lines and well I am tired of taking out the trees.

Hope all have a great day. Be safe.

I知 confused. Warranty should be by the title year.

So was I... rv builders buy the chassis in bulk and had a lot of the 2018's left over, then they put their body on top of them.
Was never told there was downside to having "older" chassis, which I understand is identical to new one except for headlights and nicer
glass dash. Prospect is very bright, did good due diligence and found out older chassis did not transfer warranty to new owner. Dealer of course
told me none of this. So I dropped the price some more, would like to sell to this guy but at some point I'd rather keep the unit and not take the hit.
The price has now come down enough not worried about selling it, but also want to get it off next door neighbor's property within two months, hogging up his driveway.
I bought the unit in Sept 2019 and thought full bumper to bumper warranty went from there. Yes, apparently, but for original owner only.
I'm such a full disclosure guy that this caveat emptor attitude of dealer sure rubs me the wrong way...

well, good morning all. 74 degrees in Greenville NC going up to mid 80's, cloudy rainy day, on and off showers.
Neighbor delivering some things to me this morning, including all the money for the equipment they sold for me, then she will go
make deposit for me locally, super nice of her, then off to hospital at noon for a shot and then talk with cardiac doc. Have
zero idea why they made the latter appointment for me, probably just routine.

RS, you sure build things to last.
Rick, glad you got your grapple finished, once you have one, don't know how you lived without it, particularly with all your trees.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 66° with a few clouds this morning. Heading to 91° with PM thunderstorms. As usual Dr visit got me more Dr. visits. Plus a new prescription. Not having coffee in morning messed up rest of my day. Stayed in and stayed cool. Pick up prescription and stay cool. Is the plan for today.
I did check all my readings at Dr's office since I started see him in April 2019. All reading are similar to yesterdays readings. :confused3:
Covid 19 cases in my county (oakland) 9175. Deaths, 1053, State Cases, 66,626. Deaths, 6005. Daily case number have been averaging 400. Deaths are averaging 20.
Big tail.

Lou, not sure if nurse had anything to do with my BP readings. Always nice when it does. Found out one thing from second nurse. When checking blood pressure. Always wait 5 minutes before next check. Pressure put on arm from first reading affects second reading if not waiting 5 minutes.

RS, like the blue on feeder and house.

Drew, are they going to let you out of the home. I thought they had the place locked down? Keeping the motorhome may a good plan especially is you need a temporary home. When you chemo is done.

Buckeye, one of the reasons for my Dr visit yesterday. Tingling in feet. May have something to do with older age.

Kyle, those reed valves bring back old memories. First engines I raced in go-karts with were McCullough chainsaw engines. Intake was controlled by reeds.

Everyone be healthy and safe.

Good Morning All.

Good Morning!!!! 69F @ 4:00AM. Sunny. High 98F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph.

Sorry to hear about the motor home warranty issues, Drew. Have you looked into hiring a parking spot at a storage lot, and perhaps a cover to keep the sun off of it? It would be a shame to give up on your cross country drive dream, especially with the way your health has been improving.

Isn't there some way to scan or photograph the air compressor head and use software to generate the cutting pattern, Kyle? I was able to do that to make masks for spray painting the 4WD dash indicator on the van. As far as my thinking process, even a blind squirrel finds an acorn once in a while...

Sounds like a good plan, Eric, and I'm hoping your backhoe will be the one doing the digging!

There are probably lots of ways to raise mealworms, RS, but here's one general description. Too much work for me, so I might scale back the back porch feedings. Don't want the lizards getting lazy anyway, as they do a lot to keep the bug population in check.

I used to have an allergy nurse that would warm the ampules in her bra before loading the syringes, Lou. She also worked part time at the local state prison, and had lots of "colorful" stories to share. Haven't thought of her in years; thanks for bringing back the memory.

Got the firetruck moved yesterday. Started right up, but had trouble remembering which of the two levers on the floor did what. One is the emergency brake, the other engages the PTO for the pump. I'd misplaced the operator's manual, so that took a while to find, and was reminded that I still don't really know how to run the pump, either. More homework. Got the truck moved, graded out the pad and slope below it, but that meant taking the grapple off and just laying it down on the face as the lower tines are too short to support it. Good ol' TBNers had a fix for that, a lot simpler than the rack I was thinking of making. A small foot that engages a receiver on the back that acts as a prop to hold it up. Probably have everything I need "in stock", too. Just gotta find a round tuit...

I think I have just enough gravel left to spread where the firetruck will park, so i'll get that done today. The switch for the power door locks on the van came yesterday, too, so that's also on the agenda. The hard start kit for the A/C also arrived, but unfortunately the safety switch on the stove is still kicking out. Ordered another UPS to fix that, but I'm not sure there's enough room behind the stove for it, or if it's even a good idea to put one back there, out of sight and out of mind. No luck with the GPS; it seems all the VOX tech support folks were in a training meeting yesterday. All freakin' day. Don't know whether to be mad at 'em or sorry for 'em.

Got a call from the solar contractor's secretary yesterday, asking to confirm my mailing address. The placards are done, and on the way.

Wednesday already. Time flies when you're having fun. Or as a dearly departed friend used to say: Time flies like an arrow. Fruit flies like a banana.

Ron, your pictures just keep getting better and better. Thanks for sharing.

waiting for breakfast, they seem to get later and later...but I had my bagel at 5am and some granola at 7 so doing ok.
Little fuzzy this morning, mostly sinus area, was told one of the drugs does that. Tylenol will make most of it go away. All normal...

another inquiry on rv, coming to see it tomorrow. Farm sale still on for Friday afternoon, why they scheduled it for that time, ??
