Bill if you got stopped at that weight over, what would ticket cost you? Just cost of doing business?
Probably cost me a bawling out, and an assurance from me that hauling out of this terminal i forgot to leave the lead trailer down an extra 1/2".
They do allow the log haulers 5% overweight for snow loads in winter and that carries over to summer for mud.
Remember i am legal at just 2.8 lbs short of 140,000 lbs. I can fit legally in the tanks what you Americans gross and still have room for more.

I sure am happy that you are finally sprung from jail/hospital.

My bike is 24 inch frame and 27 inch rims. I don’t remember the tire size. I put big butt seat on mine to pad my bottom. Mine is an 18 speed (6x3), but I rarely get out of the mid ranges any more.

thanks. That really is an amazing amount of weight to pull. I drove a semi one summer during college, well it was a triaxle boom sod truck, and if it rained the night before, you could really feel the weight. Going around curves was eye opening for a novice. Here I was, 19, going to a good college, owner looked at me and said if I could get in that college, I should be able to drive the truck. No CDL,no nothing... I sure learned defensive driving with that truck, intersections were constantly looking both ways even with green and trusting no one, because the loaded truck wouldn't stop for beans, brakes just faded. V10 Ford with a four speed and high low red pull button. It was actually good training, used my side mirrors a lot more after that.

I watch a lot of youtube videos, many of truck accidents and surprising how many big rigs just run into back of lined up cars creating utter havoc. Also amazing how cars do really stupid things around big trucks, like cutting in too close, clipping front bumper and for sure they lose. I watch those videos and sure reminds me to stay far away from other cars on road. In stopped traffic, I look for a big rig that is keeping long distance to car in front, then I get in front of them, carefully, and do the same. With multiple vehicles distanced a ways, seems to have additive effect on safety, more time to react and brake. I always thought the vehicle that hit their brake lights the least was driving the safest.

what size engine does your truck have? Has to be over 500hp.

It is a C15NZ Cat rated at 475 hp turned up to 550. 18 spd manual transmission on 46,000 lb 3:80 rears. Steer axle is 14,600 lb.
I prefer to run 12,000 lbs on the steer, but as long as I don't go over 14,600 lbs I am good to go. Running 1100R22.5 tires all the way around. Lug tires on the drives year round (I do a lot of running in gravel pits). You better sit down, the fuel mileage is 5.4 miles to the US gallon.

Another 10 hr work day. Not too bad since my commute is just down the hall.

Changed oil in pilot tonight. Wanted to do Subaru also, but was too worn out. Dropped the oil fill cap down in the front of the engine, took awhile to find.

Got warmer and humid today after the rain shower.

Billy, what's wrong with Coco? I hope Coco dog gets better quickly. When my Golden was a healthy 5 or 6 years old, he started having trouble eating or drinking. I took him to vet, and was sent on to a specialist. It was a touch and go situation for a couple of days. Specialist said his immune system was attacking his trigeminal nerve in the front part of his head (muzzle, mouth, tongue). We had to give him a lot of prednisone at first, then slowly taper off as his white blood cell count determined.

Hope your MIL is improving too.

Eric, hope you picked some for the wifey. I did not see her cup full across the table from yours. :)

BEF, you had a rough go of it last year. I remember cringing and praying, reading your saga.

Drew, the new party at 2 guy is IN THE HOUSE!!!

RNG, hope your solar will supply all your needs. Just wait til the wimens find out you've got air conditioning. You will need a chitty mop to beat them off. I suppose the one you really owe the return favor to is the one who let you stay at her place last year.

Sodamo, that glass of suds you mentioned sounds pretty good right now.

I just finished putting some r134 with dye in my old impala. Need to find a slow leak. It didn't seem to cool well, until I took it out on the backroads and got it up to 55mph or so. It almost seemed like it had something clogging it up. After driving it, it started cooling decent....but I have to remember, the AC system has 330,000+ miles on it, although I changed the tube with the expansion valve in it last year. my old gages are old and need replacement.

Prayers for our team.
