RNG I have powerful Makita, Craftsmen and Dewalt drills/drivers. The one I'm keeping? A compact Bosch drill with plenty of power and easy to fit in hand, and run some bits/drills/drivers.

Rich at times pc seems possessed, resets, goes wonky, then gets brain back. Not like they give you an explanation either. Got bad enough I didn't turn back in my Verizon MIFI, portable hotspot, when Suddenlink lost its brain, turn Verizon on. Then somehow like it knew it had competition, Suddenlink would come back on. I don't understand router functionality but wonder if "competition" resets something. Way over my pay grade.

Good morning to all! Low of 54, heading up to 87 today, slight chance of showers late. A greater chance tomorrow, we sure need some rain.

Drew, you are sounding much better, staying right on top of what needs to be decided. It is hard to read about what you are / have been going through.... when you think you have a plan all figured out, then bam!, something that is life changing. I am hopeful that all will work out for you.

Ron, another beautiful picture, thanks for posting. Looking forward to see pics of Sassy and her new hairdo....

RNG, hoping you get through the hydraulic puzzle without too much more trial and error.... and that the power stays on until you get the solar project wrapped up. Can you use the generator or is that still dependent on the rest of the system to be operational?

Feel pretty good about yesterdays project work. Finished up on the wood walkway out to the shed. I should stop calling it the shed ... it will be our “hobby shack” shared between wifey and I. She will move her sewing, crochet, and crafty stuff out there. I will be able to dig my R/C stuff out of storage and again be able to have some fun with all of it.

Today, I will finish tying in the electric service, then start on the little porch roof. Here is a progress pic of the deck / walkway to the shack. I had an artistic moment when I put down the first few walkway boards.... stagger them offset... showed wifey, she liked it, so that was that....

Everyone have a great day!

The talk about living in small spaces... I have to admit, I was very apprehensive about “downsizing” into our small cottage (approx 520 sq ft). We have been living in it for just over 8 months. At first, it was “tight”, getting used to smaller areas. It was a matter of everything having its place, and returning things to those places. Going from over 3500 sq ft to 520 was initially a shock... now I wonder why we did not do it sooner! Best thing we ever did.

57°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 85° today.

We had 20mph winds blowing some light drizzle to light rain much of the day yesterday. Got home to find a large dead oak branch laying in the front yard. I'd given up hope of a bike ride, until I went out to bring the trash can back up from the road and discovered that it was now calm under clear skies. So, I pulled the bike out, rode around the top of the driveway a bit while making some minor adjustments to seat height and handlebar accoutrements, and decided to take it for a short spin. I headed south towards the sportsmen's club and rode a bit past their entrance, then turned around just before the road takes a serious drop downhill. Got back to our driveway and kept going north, figuring I'd maybe go to the county line, or possibly the next intersection. Wife passed me on her way home just before the county line, so I turned around there and went home. All in all, about 2-1/2 miles of fairly easy riding. Started looking at the map app on my phone, and found that going "around the block" either direction east or west are about the same; 5.4 miles one way, and 5.5 miles the other. Going down to the intersection I was thinking about last evening and looping around the nearest roads back there would run 4.4 miles. So, I have a few options for nice rides close to home. Only one of them, the west route, has a several steep hills that I'll probably avoid until I get my legs back.

Didn't stay up too late last night, and slept very well.

Wife and I considered building a "hobby shack" a few years ago, Ted. We were looking at some locally made pre-built buildings, and had planned on half being my home recording studio, and the other half being her "sewing studio." We dropped that idea when we decided to re-purpose a couple of bedrooms in the house during the remodel.

Keep showing them how it's done, Drew.

68F and partly cloudy @ 10:00. Humidity @ 68%.

High predicted to be 76F ... :D

IOW: a beautiful Midwest summer day ...

Plans for the day:

1. Trip down to Massillon to drop off the three 10lb fire extinguishers. I did not actually get their turnaround time when I called yesterday (even though I asked ...) ... so if it's anything other than "fairly quick" I may keep one of them, since I don't want to be completely without a fire extinguisher while I'm working up in the shop. I'll have to make another trip anyways - since there are still two 5lb extinguishers down here at the house that are charged but still need recertified. Plus the one in the van ... almost forgot about that one.

2. Trip up to Cuyahoga Falls to Summit Reworks to drop off the old fluorescent bulbs, mystery goo, old batteries, and about a dozen+ SLA batteries from the UPS refurb'ing.

3. Finish installing tracks for sliding shelf doors.

4. Probably get back onto the cylinder repair/rebuild.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable, productive, and safe day ...

75 going up to 82, Calling for heavy thunderstorms today.

Roofing materials showed up today :)

Drew, keep it going and hop the new place gives you some quiet to get sleep

Bird, watch that ground, it jumps up at ya sometimes. glad you didn;t get too hurt.

I have stents too and am on a medicine that stops blood clots , but is not a traditional blood thinner. Seems to work good , on it for almost 2 years, only one year left.

Doe is still sleeping by the front steps, when we got back from town we surprised her. She ran around the back of the house and hid under the trampoline. That was different!

Deer and horse flies are back. Time to put out the sticky traps (looks like a black beach ball).

Stay Safe and be well.

80 and overcast, as they say here, it’s close. Nice breeze. Still supposed to get rain later but not looking promising. We badly need it.
Sitting on the deck with Gracie, plenty to do but I’m not doing it.
Drew, my grandpa use to say,’ Keep pumping, she’s bound to prime after while!’

My wifey thinks they are just so adorable! How old is Muffin now? Yes they both look like nap time. Our two slept for about 4 hours after their grooming.... at least until dinner time!
