Good morning!!!!

Ellen had her small tumor removed, doc says it was a wink away from melanoma. Looks like they got it just in time.
I mowed grass after we got home, I looked up and she was weed eating, next time I saw her she had a shovel digging up the old grill pad pavers. I wish I had her energy.
Ground is very dry and dusty, all the rain we had is getting dried out by strong winds and low humidity.
I need to roll my lawn next time we get a good soaking rain. Those old stump depressions and little rises are beating me senseless, of course I didn’t have far to go.
Looks like decent weather starting today through the weekend.
Have a good evening, stay safe, prayers to all.

Randy, glad it wasn't melanoma.

Bird, nice that you were sent masks, by a very generous person.

RNG, you have such a nice looking thumb.

Ron, I like that oriole. We only rarely ever see them here.

Worked in the garden today...the wind picked up again, and so did the gnats...when the wind started fading as we were finishing, so did the gnats. Dang gnats! Dagnabbit!

Good morning to all (well evening)... I made a grocery run early this morning, retuned home, and totally forgot to post...

I did get right out to do the welded wire fencing.... if I procrastinated, it would not get done. It did not get done anyway, only got all the fencing spread out, tacked up, and cut all the small fill in pieces. Then decided to permanently attach the fencing to the two gates. That took all afternoon, and was probably the most difficult. Tomorrow will be nothing but staples to do. At least I can sit on a bucket, do a section, move the bucket... rinse and repeat.

RNG, nice thumb! They are definitely powerful, be careful grabbing things, you can bend something really easy applying too much force! You will wonder how you went for so long not having one.

Ron, nice drone video! Beautiful property. Couple of questions: does your property follow the fence line that looks in the middle? Second, what is the dirt pile in the middle that looks strategically placed? Oh, your pond is much bigger than my new one.... you can really get a good perspective of the size from way up high!

BEF, that was really my thoughts... only 200ft of fencing, not worth spending that much on a staple gun! If I was going to do the whole property perimeter, I would have one before I would even begin! Now a drone... that is a different story. I could teach the wifey to fly, then she could air drop the staples to me... saving additional wear and tear on the knee walking... mmmm.... I might have to try that one....

Hope Drew is doing ok....

WNG, gnats.... we do have them here, no mosquitoes, but thousands of gnats... they drive me nuts! They come out in the morning and evening... usually denoting the afternoon quitting time. If it is breezy, they all take cover.

Time to shower and relax... everyone have a great evening!

Good luck with your sourdough baking, Don. I used to maintain my own starter and make sourdough bread, . . .

Taste turned out good but I could not get a second rise in the bread, cinnamon rolls and bread sticks. The bread is too dense, any suggestions? I even added yeast that I got in from Amazon yesterday and the first rise was beautiful. :confused3: Can the second rise be skipped???

good evening all. 66F for the start, .5 inc in rain gauge, overcast light breeze. Windy day today, overcast most of day, clearing late, high temp 79F. Went to town to run errands, got oil changed in SUV, truck inspected, spring haircut, and managed a nap but no bike ride, tomorrow.
Covid update: Cooke up 1 to 13 confirmed, data mismatch increased, Montague unchanged, Grayson unchanged.

Great day on the tractor. Brushhogging done, for another week or so anyway have to admit looking better and better each time. Still picking up rocks.

Good morning, the temp is 30°F and going up to 59. Wind ESE 3 mph. Periods of rain.

I didn't cut the grass. Maybe on Sunday after the rains. Supposed to rain today and tomorrow as well as Saturday.

A dump run is in the cards for today and that is about it.

There have NEVER been any cases of C 19 in South River. The restaurants are mostly closed. Stores like the hardware store are practicing either curbside pickup or limiting how many can get into the store at a time. Some people are wearing masks, most are not. I have a dual filter mask, but it is for fumes, not airborne viruses.

Have a safe and healthy day all

Don, I'm a long ways from being an expert, and even my memory is fading fast, but I do remember skipping the second rise; just never figured our why it didn't work as well as the first.
