Sounds like an over all successful trip with the Vanagon, RNG. That has to feel good.

I was a little nervous trusting it for a 500 mile day, and relieved it made it back under its own power.

But (there's always a but) it threw that same Idle Air Control Valve error code while I was running errands in Chico. I'm starting to wonder if the EMU lead that is supposed to detect the A/C compressor kicking in is connected to the correct location. It's on the A/C clutch now. Put a post together for the gurus, so we'll see.

Now if my ears would just stop ringing, or at least ring a little more quietly...

Got lime spread, using my old Scotts 3000 broadcast spreader.

Gonna go mow for a bit before lunch. Wife making a nice beef, pork, hot sausage meatloaf with roasted potatoes.

RNG- I am glad your test ride went w/o major incident. I really like AutoZone® stores. Their staff are almost always helpful, but always courteous and they know the products they sell. Nice soil sifter. How’s your back and neck feeling? I would suggest some medicinal strength libations tonight.

I found out this PM from my healthcare provider that I do not have a PCP. I have one now and down in the “Big City.” It looks like there are no doctors now serving the hill town healthcare center where I was going. That is scary to think about.:(

More and more local, small restaurants are now doing curbside pickups around here using the internet. A lot of these restaurants were struggling before C-19. They all put out a really decent products. These are good people struggling.:(

Hopefully in 2 - 3 weeks the restrictions will start to be lessened; especially in this rather isolated area. More testing is needed.

It took me quite a while to work up the intestinal fortitude to wear my costume in public. Those sunglasses may actually provide some protection from aerosols. The hat is the hat. Posting here made it easier. The reactions I observed were very interesting; this unfortunately may become an intrinsically self-reinforcing behavior. Maybe a SMV decal, cape, and some blinking LED’s.

Having been through something like this 13 years ago, honestly, I am scared, and coping as best I can. I will not do another ventilator experience again. I would deal with the lavages.

We are all in this together.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers.

Played more in the woods with the grapple. When I cleaned up 3 yrs ago I had just got the ratchet rake, and pushed stuff into 3 areas. Now I’m moving it to 1 area, the old mill race ditch. What I put there 3 yrs ago was almost all gone. With the rake grapple I can really dig out the grapevine roots.

Back and neck had the usual complaints, but my BUTT was the biggest problem. It seems 33 year old foam and 63 year old cheeks have a hard time adjusting to each other. That Scotch, and most of one of those magnum beer bottles, had me falling asleep on the couch at 9PM...

My urologist is going to retire this year, and when asked for a referral, he raised his eyebrows and said "I don't have one". I know there are other urologists out there, but what's scary is he does, too, and won't recommend any of them.

I found a Panda Express in Medford yesterday, and called them from the parking lot to arrange a pickup. The nice young man on the phone said to just get in line with the other cars, and they come out to the car and take and fill the order in only a minute or so. Worked just fine. I've seen video from other restaurant owners complaining they can't alter their business operations to accommodate takeout. I guess they're not hungry enough, or have some other motivation to not stay in business. Maybe they're close to retirement, maybe they've had offers to sell, maybe it's just all too much. But I've also seen other restaurateurs make significant changes to their operations and even the menu to stay in business. It's not a question of what or how, it's a question of will.

Jay, what is that hat made of? Looks like a halloween hat...

Endicrinologist called me for a half hour phone appt this afternoon. He is going to order more hormone labs.
He even called the radiologist to talk about my CT scan. Thorough, that's good. No rain today, storms coming tonight.
Had a burger for lunch so chef salad for dinner.
