What is a good brand brush mower

That will probably vary a lot on the area you are in,and the local dealer. Visit the websites and you can probably get some msrp. ,but some dealers sell somewhat less and some get the mfg. suggested price.The size will also make a big diffrence in price. A good starting point is 1' of cutter for every 5 pto hp of your tractor.

Look at Landpride as well. I bought a Woods M5 when I bought the tractor in 1988 and beat the stuffings out of that thing for more than 20 years, including mowing 2 inch alders.

When it finally died, I went shopping and wound up with an new Landpride in the same size. It's actually more heavily built than the equivalent Woods and several hundred dollars cheaper.
