Golf cart lift kit

I was recently given a 1986 EZ-GO golf cart and even though it is 20 years old it still looks good and holds a charge. I would like to put a lift kit and some off-road tires on it for puttering through the woods. The trail is an old railroad bed that is smooth with a few muddy spot's (the cart makes it through now with turf tires). My question's are
1. Is there a specific brand that I should take a look at ?
2. Is there anything that has to be done to the motor's so that they can handle the extra weight of the larger tires ?

They have economy and deluxe lift kits and tire/wheel packages. They really have just about everything for golf cars. (Some folks think JAKES lift kits are really good but I don't know much about them ... I think they cost real money.)
I have a '99 Yamaha gas and got the economy lift w/ 20" ATV tire package for ~$320. I know zero about electric carts but have seen motor torque upgrades listed.
Buggies Unlimited also has a forum with a lot of really helpful folks.

I'll second the Buggies Unlimited referral. I souped up a 2002 Club Car Electric cart with bigger cables, a rewound tweaked motor, & a reprogrammed controller. With 22" tires, it'll come close to 30mph, but I really need to get the front end alignment fine tuned. Right now it's a little hairy at top speed , especially when you hit a pothole.

Buggies unlimited is where i get all my ezgo parts. I have a 2002 ezgo txt 8 horse motor, 22 inch tires its not fast but it pulls hard all day long with the torque motor.
