OK, its not welding but it is for welding. I am making some plasma straightedges and was using epoxy to glue the magnets to a strip of aluminum. But I have already had one fall of. Any suggestions?

No exposure to high heat? Contact cement.

Yeah, you can get small donut magnets with a countersunk hole in them for mounting.

The aluminum should be roughed up (scratched) where the magnet is to be glued...you might try contact cement...coat both the magnet and the (scratched) aluminum and allow it to dry then press them together...

Mounting magnets from kj magnetics.

Or try silicone adhesive. I like GE silicone II caulking, but I think Elmers Stix All is the same thing in a small tube. I'm sure there are others too.
