Glow plug procedure

I think we're talking about different sounds. The sound I'm referring to definitely does not begin until I get to the spring-loaded glow plug position on the ignition. If there's a click while in the Run position, I haven't noticed it. My click is fairly loud, fast and constant.

Ignore that guy. He clearly doesn't know what he's talking about.

The clicking starts as soon as the ignition hits the Run position.

You've got to crank the volume to hear the clicking. The engine never turns over in the video so you won't get blasted out at the end.

My G1800 makes the same clicking noise when the glow plugs are on. The noise comes from the hour meter.
