Glow plug light comes on while running

I'm still getting familiar with my ck20hst (used 500 hrs). The glow plug like comes on occasionally while running then goes off. Is this normal? Otherwise tractor runs great.....

when mine CK30 was new the glow plug relay was faulty and stayed in the 'on' position. In fact it flattened the battery before I was aware of it. Luckily the glow plugs survived.
Sounds like a faulty relay or something triggering it like a short.

See you're from Casselberry.......I lived in Casselberry, on Melody Lane, back in 1970. It was a little old dirt road at that time.....bet things have changed a lot since then.

I agree, sounds like a bad relay. Does it sometimes fail to come on when starting? Without checking, I think the relay is on the wall in front of the fuel tank, relatively easy to access.

I had the same problem with my ck27 last week. found the wiring plug under the right foot rest had moisture and was shorting out internally. check that too...

Your right Hill Billy Bob, you wouldn't recognize the place. There is now a Target on the corner of Rt. 17/92 and Melody Lane....no dirt road anymore. Moved here in 1987. Have a business on State Road 436. Now 6 lanes with over 60,000 vehicle a day traffic count.....

Bought a place in Murphy NC. in 2004 to get away from the crowd. Have the tractor there. Thanks for the replys. Will check out the recommendations.
