Yes that is an issue. Headlight and taillight wipers or heaters would fix it though.

Have you noticed this? To tell the truth, I haven't. I have scraped my lights clear before- the snow melts and refreezes (not led). I wonder if rain guard would help the LED lights stay clear of snow. I'll have to keep an eye out for it- most new vehicles are using LEDs.
But there is nothing like a whiteout on 95 when you can't tell where you are on the road- except that a semi is somewhere in front of you!

It doesn't happen every storm, but yes, it does happen. The old lights would get covered, but take longer or still have the glow or a small hole. The led just gets covered and totally hidden like the roof or trunk... Then, not only are you invisible as someone closes in on you, but you have no signals for turning or braking.

That doesn't make LEDs bad... Just an obstacle to overcome.

In Maine, they switched it up about six years ago. They use calcium chloride and salt. While I believe you are correct in the redesign of autos, such as coated brakelines and stainless fuel lines... The rest of the underbody begins to disintegrate six years in... And then drastically increases the speed of decay thereafter. The cars that don't, are those that have the luxury of not going in the bad weather.

I'm not disagreeing with you...

Maine is fast becoming the land of new cars for that reason. You can't pass inspection without massive restoration.... Six years ago, before calcium chloride salt mix, it was battle more easily fought.

The logic behind the mix, is somewhat understandable... In that it probably reduces accidents.

But replacing cars, for many...replaces retirement, if you know what I mean.

The earth has went through at least 5 ice ages . . . with global warming in between. Our last ice age was only about 10,000 years ago, not very long in geologic terms. We are still in recovery. Sounds like a good thing to me!

The latest example of denial (as opposed to legitimate skepticism) came in the UK逞ｴ Sunday Daily Mail, in a distortive piece that reads like the stuff you see on late-night infomercials you know, the ones that offer fool-proof market timing mechanisms that will MAKE YOU RICH?

The piece in question is called Forget global warming it逞ｴ Cycle 25 we need to worry about (and if NASA scientists are right the Thames will be freezing over again): Met Office releases new figures which show no warming in 15 years, and it逞ｴ been mailed to me by more than a dozen readers, despite being so full of fallacies that I don� know where to begin

What of man's activity caused the Medieval Warming? How about the climate conditions that left the palms found under the Antarctic ice? Those dinosaurs using coal cause that climate in the Jurassic? Just wondering how all the previous warmings are explained so this one alone can only be explained by AGW.

Yeah, I think atmospheric gases are not the controlling factor in the heating and cooling of the earth. Sun output and orbital science may explain global climate changes, human activities as a cause is almost laughable.

That is a statement and your personal opinion not a reasoned evidence based argument. Where is your data? Opinions aren't worth much unless you are a professional climate researcher.
