glass door molding came loose

The foam molding around one of the glass doors on the Cab of my tractor has come loose and is hanging down. It won't stay put by simply pushing it back on. I was thinking of using a spray adhesive. Has anyone else had this issue and if so what did you use to fix the issue?

I did contact the dealer. They suggested silicone or double sided tape. Don't want to use silicone due to the mess it will leave on both surfaces. Double sided tape has the same issue and I'm not sure I could get it to conform to the molding form properly.

We use 3M weatherstrip adhesive for things like this...

It comes in Black and Yellow and I believe the yellow is only available as 3M Super Weatherstrip and Gasket Adhesive...

Just about any auto parts store and most hardware stores should carry it...

A tube is a little pricey... 6 to 7 dollars here... I use it for many things... like putting down carpet bubbles at work, formica repairs... etc.

Well I bought the adhesive and washed the window and moulding. Then after drying I was looking closer at the molding and here it is held on by tension in the molding. Here, all I had to do was squeeze the molding together the length of the bottom then use a mallet to tap it back on. Grief, wouldn't you think the garage techs at the dealership would have known this?

Glad you were able to get it resolved... little things like this bug the heck out of me.

The 3M stuff is good for lots of little repairs... just the other day my neighbor was getting frustrated because the 4wd know on his old Ford Truck kept coming off the selector... people pull it instead of pushing down on it... anyway... a little dab of 3M super weatherstrip adhesive and it's now stuck on like glue!
