True story! lol.

So, my "sister" Heather and I decided to weld up some christmas presents this year and I gave her a crash course with the plasma...

We got it fired up and once I got the air hooked to it, she was off.

It was really fun, and the worst part was that after a few minutes of practice, she cut a straighter freehand line than some of the guys back at my high school

Anyway, she'll have her first build video coming up here in about a week or so. :drink:

Enjoy the video everyone, and have a nice week. Today is the beginning of my second week at the Hobart school, I'm loving it so far. Okay, thats a white lie, we're learning blueprints and math which I dont really enjoy, but I know its important so Im staying awake and counting the days until we start playing with the machines. Which hopefully starts tomorrow. Hope everyones doing well

Chicks with (plasma) guns. Awesome.
A whole new video genre is born!
Really enjoyed the QA cat looking over your shoulder, too.
I hated math the first time around, but I kept needing it to do the things I wanted to do.
Not being an ace read welding blueprints at a job interview lost me a shot at a pipe welding job that near broke my heart.
The more math I learned, the better I got at estimating set ups and fixturing.
This got the shop stewards attention and he started moving me out of production welding (making 300 T-bars/boring!) and into repair & one-off projects, which I really dug.
Keep at it!

Nice job to both of you, watched a lot of your video's over the years.

Heather's open top boot's makes me cringe around hot metal ,stay safe.

My wife is not into welding , torch , etc... , but when I was making my land plane and cutting some 3/16" plate , she gave the plasma a try . Took a couple of times for her to get the hang of starting the torch , but then after that , Away she went . She really enjoyed working with that rather than a gas torch and flame .
