Generally ... that indicates the file is too large.

OK - here is what happened using my Apple computer. Found an animated GIF. Pulled it down and dropped it on the desktop. The Apple software converted this GIF to a PNG. I loaded the PNG onto this post. Got no error message - loaded down just fine. IT'S NO LONGER ANIMATED.

Actually - what happened - in my case. The animated GIF was converted to a PNG when I dropped it onto the desktop. When I loaded it onto my post #25 it was converted from a PNG to a JPEG. Whatever - it lost its animation. The little grape waves his arm when animated.

I was hoping to find others, who had previously been able to insert .gif files into posts and now find that to no longer work ... seemingly after the IOS update to 13.xx.

The TapaTalk developers added a "Gif button" at bottom of post being written or edited, with their recent update. When you click on button, your directed to a search page where you can indicate a "subject" for .gifs you're looking for. It's functionality was relatively poor. If your subject entered was "cats" ... gifs of dogs might show up and sometime gifs, totally unrelated to your search time might pop up.
Now ... to add insult ... when I click on the gif button, I get a pop up asking if I want to "upgrade", for a monthly fee, to be able to use the gif function.

Did you update your Tapatalk app? My iPhone and iPad are set to update app automatically. Latest is 8.6.0
