Hello:
I have Kubota GR2100 and I'd like to use it this winter for plowing snow. I live in Maryland so we don't get too much snow - maybe 2-3 big storms of 12" each. I figure I need the 48" blade and chains. How many weights will I need? Should I use those suitcase weights and a bracket?
Thanks,
Mike

Nice machine!! Sweet. Came very close to getting one of those myself.

First, I would buy the blade Kubota designed for that. You will likely be very happy with it. Twist the arm of your dealer, assuming you recently purchased this from him, and get a good price on a blade. You will never regret it. You have diff-lock right? Chains might not even be needed.

As for weights, you need these:
12" Wheel Weights /tractor

Put them on when the mowing is done in fall, take them off when spring comes. I don't like projections or protruding objects and stuff when I am backing and moving in close quarters while plowing. Plus, the weight is right where you want it most.

What is 'diff-lock' and how do I know if I have it on the tractor?
Thanks,
Mike

You don't have it. I checked the specs to refresh my memory. But!!!!!

You do have all wheel drive. You will be fine!!!!!

Sounds like a plan. Get the plow and weights and see how things go. If there's a problem, get the chains.

Thanks,
Mike
