Getting ready for 20 inches

We are at about 130" now.
That's your forecast? I thought 10 to 12" downstate would be bad for them, but your forecast? LOL. Jon

On a drive to Gaylord yesterday, wife and I agreed we'd like another foot-most likely will see very little.
And it was 40 today, then back to the deep freeze!

20 inches? Naw man, more like 10-12. I mean, I'm hopeful for 16-20 myself, but it's an outside chance at this point. The second wave of the storm, on thursday, is likely to miss Michigan to our south. If that's wrong and it swings up here, certainly could get a few more inches easily on Thurs. Eagerly watching this one, tomorrow's gonna be fun.
"Too the south" means me.. looking at 'up to' 20" here.. Which usually means 1" or 40".

Insane. When we get 2feet, we clear it out that day, go to work that afternoon.
Yeah, well you guys get that often. We might get 50-60" of total snow a year here, but anything close to or over a foot at one time is quite rare, maybe once every 4 or 5 years (typically requires a storm combo to funnel moisture out of the gulf, like is happening now).

I agree its pretty lame to see government shut down in giddy anticipation of a very manageable storm. Just do your job like the rest of us have to.

Rain since midnight, finally switched to snow now. We probably lost a couple inches of accumulation due to the late switchover. Still hoping for a foot.

Yep. NW Indiana is the sweet spot, looking like. You'll be over a foot, easy.

Im N.C Indiana. I don't think we are going to get anything approaching 20. I bet 12 if we are "lucky". I get why all the schools closed today but they should easily be open tomorrow. I was expecting several inches when I woke up this AM. There was maybe 2. It is heavy wet stuff so a big harder to move around, but no big deal.
