gets exterior solid stain

Hi, I'm going to the long process of changing the looks of my cedar house. I will use a solid stain. Any comments on the longest lasting kind? thanks, brett

Consumer Reports ran a test last year I think. As I recall Behr came out pretty good, but you might want to check the article at the library.

Cabot makes a very good solid stain. It has very good coverage and really lasts. It is by far the best stain that I have used ( I am a builder and own some rental property).

what about Sikkens solid stain, costs more, is it worth it? bw
