Not sure if this belongs in this forum, but I'll give it a whirl.

I have a portable generator that starts immediately with starting fluid and then dies when the fluid is gone. I took the carb apart and noticed the float and float pin was sticking, so I jiggled them and they are working freely now.

The bulb fills up with gas, but I can't figure out what else might be preventing fuel from reaching the engine.

Any suggestions?

Appreciate the help.

Put a fine piece of stainless wire into the jets and other passages. Air pressure might not be strong enough to break the barrier of bad gas..The jet is the lowest part into the bowl.

If you have to carb cleaner you may need to soak the jets for awhile to get them completely open. If the inlet needle was stuck you can be assured that the jets are plugged also.
