General Cab, A/C question

I am looking at purchasing a 2538 Cab, I am curious how the A/C systems work in the cabs. Is the system built into the roof or is there a compressor and condenser in the engine bay? Im just curious because I didnt really see any a/c lines or how the blower works in the cab. I am familiar with how the A/C works in a car, is it the same in a tractor?

Also, does anyone know if the cab and A/C system is factory on the Mahindra 2538, or is it installed aftermarket?

It is basically the same system you would find in a car. Compressor is powered by the fan belt, A/C lines run to the cooling coils in the roof of the cab via the cabs front corner posts. The whole shebang is factory installed, would be hard to install at a later date at the dealer or by a homeowner. The cab roof unit also contains the hot water heating coils, with the heater hoses run thru the opposite side cab corner post as the air conditioner lines. There are one or two automotive style squirrel cage blower motors in the cab roof to circulate the conditioned air.

I have the 2538 cab. I just got it, but everything said above is accurate.

There are vents in front that control the blown air and the recirculation vents are at the back of the cab. In order to recirculate, you leave those open. Otherwise, only outside air will be pulled in.

8560 has a switch like a car for circulating outside air or just recirculating Cab air. Keeps most of the dust out of cab
